He can cancel his heavies into the pommel strike yes, it can be blocked and countered however. The wall stun is actually worse to do than just "whiffing" it and dropping someone on the floor, because you can actually guarantee an unblockable or at least a light by doing that. There are no guaranteed followups to the wall stun.
And you most certainly can block after a knee in the face, and you should because the raider has some massive telegraphing on everything he does, meaning the stun is largely inconsequental by just paying attention.

Halberds did nothing wrong, they are also just as versatile as poleaxes if not more. poleaxe can concuss someone by striking them in the helm with the hammer part. A halberd can pierce armor with at any point with the beak.

The heavy cancel is just about the only thing in this toolkit that can take you by surprise, so you should try and have your guard up as a kind of default position if they're using it.

As for the wall stun, you're going to have to learn teching. It's absolutely critical.

The rest is dealt with by learning to parry consistently.

Brawl mode is stupidly implemented and it's clear that even Ubisoft doesn't know how the fuck you're supposed to play it. If it's just two miniature duels with no mechanics to support that enforced only by a wobbly sense of "fair play" (in a game mode that gives you no reason to believe that's even expected), then I'd rather play regular Duels.

If it's supposed to be a 2v2 then why the fuck do you spawn the teams out of sight range from each-other on half the levels and make them run to each other to actually start brawling.

It's a dumb mode and the only correct way to play it is to go queue up for another game type that actually has a reason to exist.

a) they're confident that they'll beat the other opponent even if their buddy dies
b) they don't want to ruin the fun for their friend

Each faction had about 20 "Generals", who were generally just streamers or YouTubers active enough on social media that Ubisoft thought they could use them to build hype. They grabbed most of the huge Twitch variety streamers but it wasn't exactly an exclusive list. They required that each general play a certain amount of the game, on stream, to be included. The person who got the most War Assets by the end of the beta got a replica Warden sword.

This means that they did rank the generals by the amount of assets they got. It's not a guarantee that they're good, but it's at least a good indicator of who played the shit out of the game and who barely touched it.
