It might sound autistic, but I liked how they used in-game literature to characterize the countries, like that "morality play" with gods from Readceras (the religious poorfag country), or the Romeo&Juliet ripoff from not-Venice. The food and crafting material descriptions were also pretty comfy and helped to create a feeling immersion. You're really more the posterboy for the Inquisition than its leader.
The war-council members only come to your for advice at best and let you make inconsequential decisions about singular individuals.

I don't get why Bioware doesn't divvy up the workload of games to teams that handle those bits best.
Let Bioware write the story but let Respawn come up with the premise and have both Respawn and DICE work on the gameplay (both combat and strategic stuff like how the Inquisition would have operated)

The whole point of the game is exactly that and it's even shown well: organizations as powerful as the Inquisition become feared and corrupted when the main evil they were created to destroy is killed.

The Inquisition started as a renewed and fresher organization capable enough to defeat Corypheus and his minions, but once Corypheus was dead, Orlais and Ferelden got scared shitless of the powerful army and impenetrable fortress that lied exactly between their borders.

Also the Inquisition has become so big and powerful that the Inquisitor and their advisors cannot keep an eye on everything anymore and spies and infiltrators can easily enter it.

Even if the Inquisitor saved Thedas, after two years of peace everyone "forgot" about it and is more worried about this new political figure that has favors wrapped everywhere, small armies scattered in every country's land and even control over strongholds that should belong to Ferelden and Orlais only. And not everyone considers them a holy figure, especially if they aren't human, so that doesn't count anymore either.

I disbanded the Inquisition too, it looked like the best way to deal with Solas in a "peaceful" way I'd like to save him, if possible, because in the end I like that poor guy, he is pretty interesting

I think it's the "right" solution for those who want to stop him at all costs too, because even if efforts against him will be weaker, at least they will be effective and not ruined by any spy inside the organization. Also Orlais and the Chantry won't control anyone and that's always a good thing.

I started another playthrough of Origins and this time I'm going rouge. When the fuck does this class get good? I feel like all I have to do is press attack when I get into combat then go and jack off while I wait for enemies to die.

spam double slash, then you decide what you want, if you get moomentum most of your dmg will be auto attacks, if not you'll be spamming skills. You can get also granades and traps to try to make things more fun.

anyway, DAO early copmbat is the most boring thing ever, if you arent a mage you have to wait your skills to pop up again while you slowly attack the enemy.
