Finally beaten Zurvan Extreme. The mechanics aren't very tough and he's arguably one of the easier extreme-primals if you are paying attention, but holy shit that's something most people can't do when it comes to soar. In parties for last-phase practice, people that say NE going SW and stacking with me, others standing directly infront of zurvan and get killed. Why the fuck is this so hard for some people? It's a glorified divebomb-mechanic with aoe-markers that shouldn't overlap so you call out positions and go there.

And don't even get me started on their dps. Sub 1.5k dps before soar. People can't even beat on a dummy correctly it seems.

It depends on how much you care about minmaxing. All gear is scaled down to i150 in PvP so you just generally pick whatever has the best secondary stats for your class. If you actually care about it you should be getting a set of mixed PvE and PvP pieces with the optimal stats, or at least buy a mix of the different PvP sets. Generally you want Crit primary and Det secondary for every non-healer, and then Healers is a lot less whatever you feel like you need but Spell Speed is great and so is Piety.

Don't forget to throw on a vit accessory or two if you play healer in PvP thow. It'll let you survive melee LB a lot easier.

Here's what I came up with, for vit accessories I'm using the yasha earrings and 250 crafted neck but just use whatever you have for them. You generally only want one but 2 is fine for safety. As long as you're using cooldowns piety shouldn't be a huge issue.

For max secondaries you need i180 pvp gear or i190 anything else
Acc cap for pvp is like 410 (1 left side gear with acc + 1 right side should do it)
Other than that just go for your preferred secondaries

Piety is good for healers if you're in a premade, pugs are too stupid/split up to make use of all your mp especially with mana draw traited (Which you should have)
Use makai fending earring + bracelet as healer since they're crit det, in case you get LBed

Despite all of this you will probably still get rekt but that's pvp for you

Whats the best opening damage rotation for bard? I just feel like ive been doing it wrong cause it feels kinda clunky.

Ive been starting a fight with straight shot then applying dots. Mashing out all my buffs then start with barrage EA with all my ocd skills between heavy shots.

Bard is less about rotation and more about intelligent buff management and dot re-application. Your general rule should be to try to apply your dots with as many buffs up as once. Beyond that it's just reacting to procs and maybe the INCREDIBLY advanced technique of not clipping your Empyreal Arrow into your gcd when you can help it.

I really hope they cut down on the buttons you need to bind in this game. Once you factor in PvP skills there's such an enormous amount of shit you need to have buttons for. I have small baby hands and I can't really play some classes for more than 45m-1h at a time because my arm and fingers start to cramp up too bad.

If they don't consolidate and prune some shit in Stormblood I'll probably have to move to a controller.
