Unfortunately you really need to level all of them, or at least several of them, if you want to make money or to make things like max level hq consumables or gear. The reason is for the cross-class skills as well as the benefit of being able to make all of your own crafted mats/components instead of having to buy things like ingots off the mb because you don't have blacksmith or armorer leveled. There's a "correct" path for leveling them but I can't remember it offhand. The first step will be getting everything to level 15 which can be done sitting in the guild hall in front of the quest-giver using vendor mats and just making things in your crafting log. That will take you like a Saturday afternoon to finish. After that I think you level culinarian to like 37, then carpenter to 50, I can't really remember it's been a while since I leveled mine

The Goblet is still the worst housing area. If your house is not around the Brimming Heart you might as well not even bother.

You're close to right. The Goblet (the majority of it) is almost as bad as the Mist, but it's not quite as bad.

Lavender Beds trumps both by far especially if you're on the fancy island large plot or the corner hill large plot, but there's really no excuse for setting for The Mist in any situation.

Yep. The Archer and Lancer quest lines are both massively racist especially if you aren't an Elezen yourself. The Archer guild practically tears you apart for trying to learn an art their people are proud of (despite the fact the cats they're raping are fantastic archers too and half of the archers you cross in that quest line and others are cats.)
