Meowjesty does a bit more damage, and you can usually wipe out trash with AoE before needing to resort to a single enemy attack anyway so you don't really need to worry about Meowjesty's random targeting outside of very rare situations. It's a different mindset that entails an almost self-insert mentality. Kairi is "the girl", and even if Sora and Riku were to become a thing, she would probably be right in the middle of that sandwich.
