After that all you need is something to put it in.
Pic related is what I used for like 2 months. And then I broke down and spent $100 on a all metal case, which I don't regret in the slightest.

But really once you have the parts, you can spend as much or as little on the case as you want. Cardboard boxes are free.

from my own subjective experience, there are pinball tables i never ever get bored of because you're always in a perpetual battle for control and balls can be wild, i have an endless joy playing through rage racer and wipeout games to and i first played wipeout in 96. Although i'l never be this top tier at it this is a perfect example of something that just always feels good to do.

ok buddy so i assume we are talking digital and heres a brief run down.

Pro pinball trilogy this includes timeshock,big race and fantastic journey despite coming out in 97 and running on any toaster this is still absolutely the closest you will ever get to real ball physics, you can do every trick from post passes to live catches and etcetc. These tables are not beginner friendly though and are very deep, they tend to be appreciated and become holy grails of more accomplished players. You can get them all for free easily enough and timeshock as an ultra remake on steam that looks so real its scary.

Pinball fx2, this isn't realistic at all but doesn't try to be either however the same principles of learning a tables objectives and working through them using calculated shots with a good sense of flipper/ball relation to trajectory is still very much the case. Its a free dl with 1 free table thats actually one of the best in the game, very beginner friendly.

Pinball arcade attempts to recreate real life tables but the physics aren't there, despite this it's still fun and a great way to learn real tables systems should you encounter one in the wild.
