You start out with two armies, Holmes in the west, Runan in the south. There's also Sennet on the east side.They're locked behind doors that can only be opened from the other side. Your options are to warp a thief/someone with a door key, or use Sierra's warp skill with a door key. If you have neither, then on turn 4, a character shows up with the Warp skill and a door key.

Anyway, the final boss Guenchaos, on each turn until the 4th kills one of the maidens. Before he can kill Tia (the 4th main character after Runan, Holmes and Sennet), she is saved by another character. Guenchaos transforms into a slightly weakened Gerxel because the sacrifice wasn't fully complete. He can't move or use his Total Party Kill attack immediately.

There's also the mini-boss Carla who has the warp skill.

So now you have to get all 4 main characters to the final boss and surround him and attac with the 4 holy swords. If the final boss is not surrounded, he will keep reviving himself.

If he is defeated, then he revives once again but this time, a cutscene battle shown here>>166949042 happens where all 4 main characters attack simultaneously and defeat Gerxel.
