Dunno how it works for most people, but for me I lost a lot of mobility in most of my joints. Can't bend my wrists upward, and my hands, especially right hand, is more a claw.
I'm righthanded, but had to switch my mouse to my left hand about 10 years ago.
It's all very gradual so I had time to adapt, I don't know any different.
Movement with arrow keys, pressing the buttons with the first joint instead of fingertips. Rctrl is crouch, rshift jump, numpad0 ult, numpad 1 an ability, middlemousebutton other ability, scroll down to reload, up for melee, sidebutton for voicechat.
I can hold my own, I just never got really good. I used to play other fps (tf2 long time, a bit of battlefield & cod), and it wasn't rare for me to be in the top 3 against randoms.
