What's nice about greed mode is you can pretty much always have a powerful run since you have more options for what items you get. Fortissimole is currently a bigger pain in the ass to fight as Aria than the Lute because you can't stop the endless stream of monsters from coming at you and hurling electrobulbs at you.

I finally figured out that you can use skeleton bodies to block their progress, but if your damage is too high then it's not gonna work.

I think greed mode condenses the heart of Isaac game play too much, you just fight monsters, get money, buy items, rinse and repeat.
It's kind of similar to what makes newer WoW expansions feel like a worse game although all the quality of life improvement make the whole game an easier and smoother experience and not everyone likes it.

As Keeper keep bombing pots on the first two floors until you find a swallowed penny, reset otherwise. Skip devil deals and cursed rooms. Almost all the key items for keeper can be bought in the shop.

For lost, try for a dead cat. Blank card algiz is also classic. Obviously unlock holy mantle for him if you didn't already. As long as you can fight Krampus well you will want to go to every devil deal since he can use them for free.

Teleport cards and the hour glass are useful for both characters as an escape mechanism.
