World tendency is pushed towards white when you slay demons, and pushed towards black when you die in body form (so suicide in the Nexus and always go in phantom form). There are other effects but that's the most part, and certain events require white or black.

Scrub

Be sure to kill all the guys firing arrows at you first. It's easier to kill this boss when not locking onto him. Since he's pretty slow you can sprint right behind him after he started an animation and hit him a few times on a leg. Once you hit both his legs enough he'll fall and you'll get free damages hitting his head. Repeat until he's dead. Also be caregul when he falls, he deals damages if he falls on you.

It ranges from Pure Black to Pure White. Once you finish your first blind playthrough, check that out on the wiki. It's pretty neat and if you want to platinum it you will need to know.

The more black the world is, the harder enemies are and the more souls you get. Plus Black Phantom enemies will show up and have a 100% chance to drop their items plus regular enemies drop more. In white tendency, enemies are easier but drop fewer souls and less frequently their items, though healing items are more plentiful.

Don't worry about it just yet. Play through blind for the best experience.

I like all the games, but it depends entirely on what you're referencing for what is "best" and "worst". DS1 introduced a lot of people to the game, and had some great moments and things about it, but it was definitely less advanced. DS2 had a lot of balance issues and poor design choices but had the most content and was the most unique. DS3 felt the most polished and most finished but still suffered from lack of build diversity at the endgame.

Fire sorcery is basically what the Witches of Izalith were able to do before Quelana taught the art of pyromancy to her first pupil Salaman. The art seems to live in some form throughout the series as it is mentioned and one NPC in 2 is able to use it because Fire Sorcery was supposed to be a thing in the game before they cut it and he was the trainer for it.

Sorcery is something of a science, hence why soul sorceries require and scale off of intelligence. Pyromancy is more of an artform which only scales off Int and Fth for balance reasons.

iirc flame sorcery was a magic that drawed upon the lord soul of the witch, and only the witch and her daughters could use it. It was apparently stupidly powerful and could even fuck up dragons.

Chaos portal happened and consumed the witch, ending fire sorcery. This also allowed any and everyone to draw upon the chaos to do pyromancy, which is still op but not godly. Also pyromancy can take the form of acidic and poison substances because why not?

I think the general progression of DLC will be:
>Dreg Heap with multiple sub-areas (first we will traverse all that giant wall structure with ruins of Lothric Castle, then come below into the white fog, to a poisonous, Locust-infected area from screenshots)
