Woo Xiao!

I feel like they should've given her another counter move along with the 2x Counter. Ururika is like that in JP as a 5* max who's of the berserker class who's entire kit is centered countering. If Xiao is going berserk making her uncontrollable, a second damage counter would've been nice in that situation.

She did get a stronger 40% ATK/DEF break, a stronger AOE attack, which does build off her original kit as I had hoped. I was still hoping for that AOE support that she lacks. A "Skip turn and self HP/MP regen and ATK/DEF buff" is entirely wasted when an AOE one would've been fine to sacrifice a turn for. Maybe when she get Enhancements...

I'm a bit disappointed mainly due to Perfect Balance, because if it were AOE, i'd say she were pretty amazing, but only great since its still a 40% ATK/DEF break which is pretty high for our current non 5* base units.

Yun seems ok, but I'm not sure how "Charge" abilities work (since by default they're shit). I hope that its for the entire turn's set of Normal Attacks (2x due to his ability or 4x with Dual Wield) which could be decent, but if its just the first hit,then he falls flat.

I can see where Ling's going with her +100% ATK damage stacking, which means she can do dances while not missing out on a normal attack's worth of damage if she finds a turn where she can attack, especially if she builds up a high enough boost and a crit on top, very much like an assassin. I think they actually thought about this better than they usually do for units. She can only equip daggers so no Cura staff for healing, but even without it, she's very thematic with her dancing to distract and debuff opponents combined with the "evasion + crit + human killer" of an assassin.

I like Ling turned out.

Also, to add, since its 100% ATK scaling (not damage scaling), that should make her damage at each stack exponential, so she can hit some pretty high numbers (124 base attack +1000% = 1364 attack ^ 2 = 1.8 million before defense divides it and bonuses kick in and not counting her equips) , especially with dual wield and aurora scarf support adding the additional attacks. She can literal just do her job normally, then come in to finish off that big boss past their "low life berserk state" with a string of high damage attacks, or so i'd imagine.

What is the best 5* summon to craft or hone in RK? Bahamut seems like a safe choice since its never bad if there are resistances in play (but its never good for weakness either) and the titan/tiamat/ultima seem good for the weaknesses but if there is a resistance they are bad. Wat do?

I'd say Tiamat/Ultima Wep because they aren't commonly resisted. Everything with wings tend to be immune to earth whether they're actually touching the ground or not.

The sad fact is that summon honing are a terrible way to spend major orbs. If you wanna throw summons around, the best option is chasing Alphinaud's book BSB.

Warrior of Light is a Tank and Breaker
Ling is a Breaker and Support

Get your Dualcast going on a Refia. You'd be missing Focus, but a 45% Break reduces their damage output by about 70% (49% with a 30% Break).

You could of course not using Ling and keep her as a trophy waifu. My party is Luneth, CoD, Cecil, Refia, and Rain. CoD mostly supports as is, so replacing her with Ling is possible. Rain also only Full Breaks mostly, but can also buff all stats. If I keep Cecil and Refia, I can dump Rain for Ling, but she would need to be on full debuffing duty.

So one possible party is Luneth, DPS #2, Cecil, Refia, Ling. The only real issue in my opinion with Ling is her debuff is only 2 turns, which limits her from doing any of her other useful tools in order to keep the debuffs up.

I don't know things work pretty well for me with Cecil - Rain - Luka - DPS - DPS, then later when Rain gets replaced by WoL it'll be even better.

I just don't see a spot for her. It's not like I need her better breaks right now. The mp regen is nice for sure, but not really worth taking out someone for that reason alone.

Also she only evades physical attacks so in most trials she's just courting death.

Should hone the 3* (Shiva, Ramuh, Ifrit) summons up to at least r4, with some 4* up to at least r3. Aside from being helpful in the summon nightmares, they're decent enough filler skills or to use for elemental purposes. Despite certain summoner BSBs, it's nice to not feel so limited with those skills IMO

Tritoch nightmare you could probably get away with low hones, but you'd need to fuck about with the barrier timing to get the same colour urns spawned as much as possible. Neo Bahamut is a little more forgiving with the gimmick used in that battle, but no sort of ether to replenish skills.

Not really. You can kill them. The game was more about learning what works and trying new things than just "level up until my eyes fall out" that most FFs have you do.

Weaken demons with poison and Starshell, eat crit foods, use your party techniques. The only reason enemies feel like sponges is because they are so above your level and you are just trying to smack them down in a war of attrition.

It's been decent so far. It's no XII onwards of mainline FF quality dubbing, but it works.

I dunno why Nightmare Atomos is such a lagfest. It gets really bad when the gems show up. After several S/L, the game finally held together without crashing long enough for me to master the fight.

Nightmare Evrae Altana was also laggy, but not as bad as Atomos. With all 11 Nightmare bosses mastered and only one left to go, I'll be glad to never do these fights ever again.

I set up a lobby for U+ Ultima Weapon. Two players with maxed out characters and things like Raines BSB & Terra SSB2/OSB combo join the lobby hitting "Ready To Go!" as soon as they got in. Last to join was someone with a level ~65 Thancred with r1-r2 hones at the most. All players had BSB though, so as soon as I saw all three "Ready To Go!" highlighted I gave notice that we were starting. The game starts up waiting on the players to connect, with only the Thancred player actually sticking around. The two other players being disconnected at the same damn time during that start up is rather bizarre and a bit suspect 2bh.

I didn't have any of the shit the dropped players brought, but controlling 6 characters was more annoying than figuring out the effects on the fly. Ended up getting full mastery along with greens being rolled as the drop.

Holy shit. Only have the 2nd rod in the game and the original reel. I just caught one of those fish that gives you the new reel at the carnival. I was using only a 1000 durability line and it took me about 16 in-game hours to catch it.

It's probably not as useful for most stuff compared to other medica BSBs since it just does damage rather than giving some sort of buff. It's decent for bosses with a holy weakness for a bit of extra damage, but I can think of a lot of better options just for healing.

I think they would have had to nerf his kit. Luneth and Lightning both have very dull, singularly focused kits - Noctis is very diverse, and given that you can add dual wield to him after the fact I'd rather have it that way.

I think characters without dual wield will generally be more powerful than those with innate DW once you add it. It basically takes up "skill points" that could be used elsewhere.

But yes, lore-wise (as much as that matters), Noct and Zidane should absolutely have DW.
