I think so. The game is much more polished than it was in the past. There are a lot of top champs that are viable right now. I admit, support is in a weird spot (mainly because mages and junglers are very strong right now), but a good support can still make all the difference in a fight. The game is still getting patched frequently (7.2 coming soon). Overall ignoring all of the negativity on this site, this game is very fun, casually or competitively.

General is fucking great considering it's only 520RP. Radiant and Volcanic make up 2nd/3rd, but all of his skins are great. Buy General to start off with.

Tiamat or hex first item usually, then build cleaver, finish your hydra/maw later. Cleaver is core, get it before T2 boots. Which hydra is purely up to you, hydra if you're ahead or titanic if you need to be tankier (usually I go hydra but that Lee was 12/0 and threatening to end the game). Titanic is great because you get more effective HP from your passive. That portal was GA, but it was on cd and I had excess gold.

Example build path (but obviously adapt to the enemy team):
>ls pots, boots + two longswords, tiamat, warhammer, phage, cleaver, finish boots (so t2 boots+tiamat+cleaver core), hex, giant's belt, chain vest, DMP, finish maw, finish hydra, GA or something like that

You should always get tank boots+cleaver+DMP regardless of enemy team. Rest is purely up to you, select from: hydra, GA, banshee, maw, DD, duskblade, randuin, thornmail etc (make sure to max CDR at 45% always)
