Pfft, are you kidding me? Halo in general is a clunky and slow compared to the best FPS. Unreal and Tribes will forever have my heart.

But Reach was just awful to play. I booted it up the other day and was disgusted. The gameplay is slow and clunky, the gunplay is just terrible, the netcode is abysmal, the maps were awful before the DLC, terrible weapon sandbox and balance. And don't even get me started on the fucking framerate.

It's just unenjoyable. And I dunno if you guys remember but the old guard fucking despised it before 4 came along and proved that things really could get worse.

Why does Halo 5 have some of the worst aiming I've seen in a console FPS? Aiming in this game is heavy as fuck for no reason, it felt great in the beta but the launch is just fucked. I generally end up under-compensating for aiming in Halo 5 and whenever I go to play an older Halo game I end up over-compensating as a result.

What do you mean fuel rod cannon variant? You should be able to pop him in the head as long as the shield is down. It's best to do it from the side, though.

The thing that edges out the OT though is that George only directed the first one (he admits he's terrible with actors). Also the story is like babby-mode straightforward, the characters are inherently more like likeable (though people forget that Luke is often lambasted for being whiny and ineffectual much like Anakin) and practical effects always age better than CGI.

Otherwise though they are pretty comparable and people tend to overrate the OT. They're fun movies but they're not the masterpieces fanboys make them out to be.

As someone that played all the campaigns for the first time last year (yes i'm new), CE had a much more engaging and overall fun campaign than any of the newer games. 4 and 5 put me to sleep and were over in like an afternoon.
Reach was also pretty forgetable.

Look at the original Star Wars with the same critical eye as the prequels and you'd probably notice the acting is also abysmal in places. Like Carrie Fischer not being able to decide if her character has an accent or not or the way she has virtually no reaction to her planet being blown up.
