Druid is basically the support class of wow. Not a great dps or healer but makes up for it by being able to do both plus having great utility when needed

Anyone who tells you druids are necessary is both right and wrong. While they are not needed per se their utility is so great that a good druid should always be considered for a dps spot in 5 mans and either a healer or dps spot in raids

I was a mage, all I ever did was PvP (as pyrochon and dominator) and dungeons as warlock.

Warlock had really good PvE mechanics, you could remove DoTs from one mob and store them and instantly unleash them on the next mob, so you could juggle them like that.

And Pyrochon was stupidly fun in PvP.

Then they buffed Pyro and it became the best PvE DPS option, and then they started adding P2W RNG loot boxes for various equipment so I left and never looked back. Apparently it has like 20 layers of jewing and RNG now.

Resto has extremely weak healing output next to priests.

As far as healing goes Druids have the best HoT. Not saying HoT is better than instant healing but it's definitively a must in any raids so saying they heal worse than Priests is just dumb. Also combat rez. No one can do that.

Druids are easily one of the most sought after PvP classes.However, the catch is that you don't just DPS people down in cat form or train them down like pure DPS classes. Your damage is decent but you have to play around being a jack of all trades. You open in cat form, dot them up or hit your hard hitting abilities, then proceed into bear form and slowly but surely out sustain them by rotating stuns and heals.
They're VERY versatile, the PvP Feral/Resto talent combo have 4 or 5 different versions and then you got people using either feral or resto gear.
