Goblinmount's been working for me as a fat ward against blade mages, facecrafters, and the rare elf roach.

I try to clean up prior to playing him with my other stuff tho, in case they have a dance of death or some other hard removal that'll let the stray oglers and witchettes take me to pound town. That way, it at least guarantees a wasted turn for them so I can get my draws off/continue picking their followers off, one by one.

Getting the extra turn resets the emote limit for the player who casted it, but the other player doesn't get reset, so the Rune gets to spam emotes while he does his solitaire combo, and the other guy can't even "Wow!" in response.

It's pure fucking bullshit that end/start of turn effects don't trigger for the other player, nor do they get mana. I know they fully designed it with "he played DShift just concede" in mind, but fuck. It still remains as the only absolute wincon against control in the game that's impossible to beat. PtP/Poly get fucked by Bahamut, Seraph/Morde eat shit against Odin. But, only D.Shift has this scared of status of absolute counter to an entire archetype that has 90%+ win rate against said archetype.

If they think that's balanced, then where's our 90%+ winrate against Daria deck? Dshift is alright in this meta. Surprisingly there are other control and midrange decks that give it a hard time though. People always say it is aggro, but the reality is that a lot of people run aggro and a lot of people run slow decks to counter aggro. Stuff like Roach does well against aggro and destroys Dshift.

Even within Dshift though I'm starting to feel a bit iffy on Merlin. You usually have a full hand (or almost) and can overdraw when you play her. Plus, the modern Dshift deck has way too many spellboost cards so you rarely actually pull your finishers. She's definitely needed, but I've actually found myself often times getting more value out of that 2/3 that spellboosts your hand twice when evolved.

That being said, Merlin is really nice when you can dshift but can't kill them and feel pressured. She can sometimes save you because you'll get a guaranteed spellboost and card draw by playing her alongside the dshift. She's a fun card for sure and I love her English voice.

It's one of the more fun class mechanics in the game. But it feels like they designed themselves into a hole with it, because a deck that revolves around saving up cards in your hand will never be fun to play against.

Yes, so it's only good in slow match ups. The deck is already favored against slow decks, what it needs are better ways of dealing with aggro. You'll have absolutely no problem keeping your hand full against slow decks, none of them have any pressure early on, it's all removal.

You can easily climb all the way to A0 using Aggro Blood and that doesn't run a single legendary. A lot of them don't even run the castle anymore meaning it hardly even runs any golds either.

From A0 on you can still take it all the way to Master, but be aware that a lot of decks will be trying to counter you once you're that high up
