Besides drafting good cards (look at the links in OP), drafting a good curve is the plan. Try to have as much 2 drops and 4-5 drops, for a consistent early game and a decent midgame. Ignore 1 drops, ignore situational and synergy cards unless you think it's right.

Call of Cocytus, Bahamut and Olivia are game-winning cards.

Depends on the deck. In aggro blood, it is important to have a 1 drop especially when going 1st

The last game where I saw a Phoenix roost was in this game where I used DoD on dragon's evolved Aiela. He threw down a phoenix roost and then all the blood damage and storm cards on my hand were half cost with an evo point avaliable.

Its also great and hilarious when roost gives me the extra boost I need when I need to complete my roach combo when I'm playing forest and all the shit I have on my hand becomes 1-2 cost.

But yeah, doesn't matter what craft you're playing. Throwing down a phoenix roost on the field pretty much screams "I have a death wish, come get me".

I suggest having 9 1-drop with aggro shadow.

I tried a shadow aggro with 6 1-drop, you don't get the 1-drop consistently enough. Triple gob, triple skel knight, triple skull beast is the way. You can cut to 7 or 8 if you feel it's too much but that's my advice.

Getting a curve and being consistent is the selling point of an aggro deck, if you can't curve, the deck is bad.

well unless you're about to lose, health costs aren't a real cost for aggro blood because you can more or less be sure you'll have enough to use your burn spells. for aggro shadow you often times don't have an obvious way to get enough shadows for whatever kill combo you may have. while it's not anymore complex than the other decks in sv (which is to say not very complex at all), it can make your brain stretch a little sometimes.

good followers to try are lyriel and angel of the word (unica works too btw, especially vs aggro), skeleton knight is pretty questionable because it has only 1 defense, both 6x and 9x 1pp followers are fine
