Kindred is an odd perk..while it's definitely useful I wouldn't take it unless you feel you get hooked a lot and play alone.

Whats funny though is that these people will still shit talk fresh Killers, even though they usually only have 1 t1 or t2 perk. I also would not recommend starting on Hag atm. Nah you just have to play around the middle hook and hope he hits the fuckhuge collision box the hooks have for no fucking reason. After that you can usually manage an escape. If you're on the stairs, you're going to have a bad time, but if you can goad billy into the actual basement you can usually pull something off.

If you're the killer and you find it, and it's open, does standing directly on top of it block it completely from the survivors?

I've seen survivors walk up and get hit by the killer, push them out of the way and escape though it before the hit animation even finishes.

I'd assume that it would be best just not to hit them then?

Also what's the window of time for the grab?

There have been times where I've been a survivor, and I had quite a lot of distance between the two of us, and I've still been grabbed.

Seems pretty generous, but I haven't managed to pull it off as a killer yet myself.

I can hook 3 people in the basement ezpz using it, but I get like 0 points for it since theres no chase and hitting them twice or pulling them off the hook gets you near enough nothing even with the sacrifice

It's not useful enough in chases since anyone with half a brain will know you can't suddenly leave terror radius in an instant, so how am I meant to use it?

I've seen one good usage of it. There was this trapper who hooked a person, trapper under and then went to check nearby gens ( one which I was at ). He scared me away and while I lost sight of him with the terror gone, I thought he went back to check on his hooked survivor. Instead he just sat with insidious near the gen and got a hit on me when I was going back to fixing it. But for something like this to work you really need a good wall/environment setup for the survivor to lose track of you ( it was wreckers yard in this case ).

I only agree with this now that there's a time limit on NOED. Used to be if the exit doors spawned next to each other, you were completely fucked until someone decided to bite the bullet. If NOED gets reassigned to a totem meaning it could potentially be up indefinitely after the gates are opened I'm not going to be a happy camper.

Those were just some recent examples I pulled from personal experience. (Guess which one was a result of the webm.) The closest I get to the bodyblocking you're mentioning is fishing in and out of hit range to try and distract the killer long enough for his cargo to wiggle free since the normal swipe doesn't have autoaim and actually allows for some juking, and if I do take a hit, I'll use that opportunity to push them back a bit before peacing out.

But yeah, you get the idea.We're both using personal anecdotes though, so maybe I'm just a outlier who just so happens to run into salty killers a lot. I know I run into plenty of salty survivors.

Reaching rank 1 with a killer isn't hard, survivors just feed you with points and later, with salt. Ranking system should be reworked, especially for the killer, so it would take into account kills, not just points. It will also eliminate "you piped so you had fun" nonsense.

With 35 surivivor perks it would take 105 levels to get all the perks unlocked at max ranks. Add 4 levels if you started with a reworked bloodweb since they don't seem to give perks until level 5. On my Nea I'm missing all of Empathy, Self Care, and Open Handed, as well as rank 3 of Prove Thyself. I've got Prove thyself two on the current bloodweb I'm on so I'll have to complete this web, plus 9 more to get to the final perk. So she's sittin at level 95 currently since I never fudged a web and missed a perk. My god.

That corner and the bushes in front of the Myers house are top notch hiding spots still. I got my reserve spots for any games I might get in with people from here. So far I've been in part of a bot game with sloppy, and like 3 games with Rusty. Waiting for the Phara or Foxy game to happen.
