Been using Winston a lot, getting the hang of his style, and he is a lot of fun, especially when you surprise squishies and break up a clustered team. My biggest gripes are

1. Shield needs either its old HP back or a much shorter cooldown. 18 seconds is ridiculous.
2. Primal Rage should be immune to all forms of crowd control. Nothing more infuriating than popping Rage then immediately having Junkrat toss a trap, Roadhog go Whole Hog, or Ana using her motherfucking sleep dart and completely wasting it.

Rein has a shield that doesn't deteriorate by itself and doesn't have a giant critbox. He also has an attack that can oneshot squishies and an infinite range attack that penetrates. He also has an attack that interrupts firing animation so he can 1v1 almost every character in the game. It's not the same thing.

I would think that anytime on defend you should automatically win due to the fact that you don't keep your ult when you die + the attacking team has a significant spawn disadvantage, but I've been playing for the past like hour and still haven't won a single match. As for how to get better, how do you guys manage to keep focusing on the right target during team fights? Lucios jumping around, Anas hiding away, Reinhardts either swinging their hammer everywhere or waving their shield dicks around, etc etc. I just can't do it.
My aim is fine when we're defending or the enemy is down in numbers, so I can easily get a clear view of that Pharah and shoot her down, I can do that shit fine, but during big team fights I panic and I keep wildly firing at every target I can get damage on, not really focusing on finishing off anyone.

If you've ever put that gun in a tanks face it does shit tons of damage (I know you don't often get to do that, I'm just talking raw numbers here), what she needs is a severe reduction to her spread so she actually hits smaller targets and at a better range. Currently her optimum range is between 7m-11m because any further and her spread becomes retarded and bullets will literally dance around the target

Her clip empties fast enough, but currently you need almost a full clip to secure a kill. This would not be an issue if her gun was more accurate

Honestly even though jeff was saying "we dont view her as this crazy assassin" i still feel like sombra coming out of cloak is pretty dangerous. She has rapid fire hitscan with 60 round magazines and normal reload time, as long as you cloak in close enough so that your (albiet insane) spread is connecting fairly consistently she can dispatch 200 hp heroes really quickly. Then she even threatens tanks well because their giant hitboxes forgives her spray pattern even more, and then obviously she can lock them out of their sheilding as well.

Sure, if you want to define what's "OP" only by what the top tier players play, and thus, coordinated 6v6 games, have in them, then Symmetra isn't "OP" because she doesn't fit the extremely stringent meta.

Just because she has a high winrate in QP and probably like mid plat maybe and below DOES NOT MEAN SHES ACTUALLY GOOD. If she's getting effectivley played around at anything even resembling high level play, THAT MEANS SHES BAD. When devs balance heroes, they take EVERY TEIR INTO ACCOUNT, UP TO AND INCLUDING EVEN PRO PLAY. So theree could be a hero, who's fucking complete unplayable trash in even top 500 level PUGs, but when used correctly by professional teams is actually a legitamite threat, and the devs will STILL avoid buffing that hypothetical character so it doesnt take over the competative scene. So yeah, the fact that symmetra isnt seeing play at a high level is significant, it means that in reality, she isnt actually that strong of a hero. You can counter her on any hero by just playing the game in a certain way.

Mercy is actually viable, even on Master/GM level. People here sperge out over nothing as if all of them are pro-level. What qualifies as "something stupid"? Trying to move at all? Trying to shoot back at the sniper? Trying to take a point or escort a payload? Yeah, if you sit around in spawn and do nothing the sniper can't hurt you, but the moment you go out you're where they want you. You can be as careful as possible and still be OHKO'd because the sniper is also moving, they're usually silent, and they attack from places you can't immediately see.
