You should level however you want. The softcaps / hardcaps make it so it doesn't really even make that much of a difference anyway; you just become more of a jack-of-all-trades. I mean if you don't care about PvP / following the meta, just pump your END all the way to 40 (going higher does almost nothing). It allows you to do the ridiculously high-stamina combos like LHB's 4-hit L2 combo that you otherwise could not do without having ~30 END and using up at least 2 of your rune slots for stamina. I also like having high stamina because you can stun lock a lot of really tough enemies and kill them in one long combo, w/o ever having to let them recover as you wait for your stamina to regen.

It's a low priority upgrade of course, but if you rely on melee a lot and never plan on stopping leveling, I would put points in it before leveling a fourth other stat (like before BLT or ARC if you already did VIT, STR and SKL)

the spiders are way more dangerous than the hemwick spirits. Hemwick spirits look scary as fuck but most (not all) of their attacks do shit for damage. I remember being severely combo'd by them yesterday morning as I was trying to roll away (got hit with multiple counter hits) on a FRC, and thinking "how the fuck am I still alive?" after like teh fifth blow. Meanwhile a spider asshole takes half my HP in one attack that is not even a counter hit

The lost logarius wheel is hard as fuck to get from this dungeon (abbbxezk; the other didn't exist). It is on layer 2 but it is in an unmarked bonus area behind a bunch of random caves and some long, maze-like areas only accessible from the main layer area.

Anyone know of a glyph where it is easier to find it in?

Fishing Hamlet is the last area of the DLC, it's pretty hard to miss. It's the area after you kill lady maria, you get to her once you climb the research hall (if you didn't pick up a key back at the start of the DLC that might be where you're stuck).

I don't know what you mean by "normal nightmare" but the nightmare of mensis is accessed after you kill The One Reborn and go into the lecture hall.

You can buy blood rocks from the insight bath messengers after beating Mergo's Wet Nurse (final boss of the mensis nightmare)

so these alternative weapons from the chalice, are any of them better than the standard? like, i'm using hunter axe, and have a zapmace now that i'll plan to use once it gets up to same + as the axe, and looking at the moonlight sword + the pizza cutter as my main 4 weapons I had my eyes on (so far anyway, will need to test more and see what ones I like)

and seeing this talk of limited titanite slab and the "other" versions of weapons has me wanting to plan and not waste any of those final slabs.

They don't really have much synergy, since Bloodletter scales with Strength untricked and Bloodtinge tricked, while Reiter scales with Skill for all it's melee attacks, and Bloodtinge only for the gunshots.

Its been awhile since I read that part but I think an evil spirit possessed a horse. Who then tried to rape a pyromaniac.

So the stats screen says that my Kos Parasite will only do like 205 bonus damage if I use all these arcane ATK UP gems, but really it does like 508 damage on the first R1 attack.

Meanwhile, three gems that add flat arcane damage of like +60, +50 and +70 and have an AR of 303 dmg on the stats screen only do like 470 damage with the same attack to the same enemy.

Why is this?

Often, however, she wont jump and just keeps doing only her stomp moves and the move where she scapes under her legs, until you let her face you and try to attack you normally again. Amygdala doesn't always jump if you stand under him during phase one or two, but he does it almost all the time during phase three when he can't swipe at the ground right under him.

Either way, if you have a weapon with a high swing arc- Church Pick, Burial Blade L2, tricked Moonlight Sword- you can hack at his crotch and hit him in the torso if you angle your swing right. Pretty sure that the Single / Quality refers only to the physical scaling. Quality means that the worse scaling stat between Strength and Skill scales better between 10-25 than the better scaling stat scales between 25-50. Doesn't account for ideal gems or anything, though. Left blank for Kos due to no physical scaling, I would assume. Physical damage on Parasite has gotta just a mistake.

Doesn't matter, think of it like flour in dough. You can put it in, but never out. Those points wasted in the wrong stats will come to bite you on the arse when you only have 45 Vit/Skl/whatever. Waste of skin has less of a downside than you probably think, as you can just sonic speed it to Cleric, get some insight, then level up at doll with cheaper starting levels into wherever you want.

If the weapon is pure physical, Arcane scaling does nothing until you convert the damage to an arcane type. Go to NG+ and buy all the materials for insight. Then you can skip bonus rooms and treasure chests and just bumrush the levers in each floor. If you run out of materials, go through NG++. Killing all the optional bosses and crunching all the Knowledge/Wisdom/Umbilical Cords will get you back to 99 insight in no time, and it's a hell of a lot more fun than exhaustively exploring dungeons.

Different starting weapons compliment different starting classes better than others. For example, you probably wouldn't want to start Violent Past with the Threaded Cane, but you would with the Axe. Find what works best for you in the game, with your first run being a dry run. I would recommend anything roughly equal in Str/Skl and picking up the Saw Cleaver; you can run the entire game on nothing but your starting weapons.

Instead of summoning Valtr learn Laurence's moveset and kill him by yourself. He has short windows to attack in his last phase and Valtr was fucking things up for me. Equip armor with high fire res, hp boosts and executioner rune, take your time and poke him from time to time from your left. or throw some points on that Vit.
