Bought this game back when it was 8 bucks on sale, and I'm new to the series.

Any tips on how to git gud? Because as of now I'm a complete shitter.
>>
play the game and stop coming to /v/ for advice
>>
>>363955681
Thanks for the advice anon.

Is this a paradox?
>>
Let the final boss kill you at the end.
That is the actual good ending.

you need to wake up
>>
Watch youtube or twitch of people playing the game. Just copy what they do, once you get used to the gameplay it just becomes monotonous.
>>
1.) Play Blind
2.) Explore all nooks and crannies, don't leave an area unexplored.
3.) Talk to everyone
4.) Talk to any window/door with a red lantern
5.) Pay attention to your surrounding, look for subtle changes in areas you've been before
6.) Gear for the most part doesn't matter, wear what you like
7.) Try to level up stats tied to your weapon's best scaling (ie: Saw Cleaver > STR, Hunter's Axe > STR, Threaded Cane > SKL)
8.) Don't level Endurance
9.) Always carry a Bold Hunter's Mark
10.) Kill the dogs first
>>
>>363956228
Thanks anon.
>>
>>363955527
>8 bucks
damn, I just paid like 30 for it, at least I could find the ps4 slim for 180

>my dick when talking to the whore behind a door
>>
>>363955527
I just beat the final boss on ng+ myself, and on my 2nd playthrough, I say you study enemies and learn there attack patterns and you;ll get gud in no time.

>>
>>363955857
No it's not.
>>
>>363958538
Good end is waking up
Bad end is being MPs slave
True end is baby slug
>>
Remember that some say Kosm.
>>
Do combo chains, dodge towards the enemy, go str/arc
>>
>>363955794
It's legit the best advice you'll get. Just keep playing and learn from your mistakes, that's all there is to it.
>>
>>363959282
But alas not too fast
>>
>>363956228
The best pat of BB was that armor was pure asthetics and didnt effect your defense all that much
>>
>>363955527
your rolls/quick steps have invincibility frames, use them
>>
>>363955527
Nope. I stopped playing it because even though I loved Demon's and Dark, Bloodborne just felt too different in terms of gameplay while being exactly the same as the other two games I spent 100+ hours in in terms of everything else. The Souls formula is just not that good.
>>
can I basically do a quality build and be fine in this game?
>>
>>363955527
>buying a PS4 without the intention to buy Bloodborne
git gud yourself, faggot

Real talk.

Just keep playing it. Keep dying, but everytime you die, try a new tactic. Keep trying new things until you find a way that works and do it until it fails. Repeat as you mame progress through each part youre stuck at.

The satisfaction of overcoming your shit skills and killing bosses is worth the effort. It literally shows your progression as a gamer to play differently as you beat down mobs you thought were impossible.

The only exception is winter lanterns. FUCK. WINTERN. LANTERNS.

stacking frenzy/poison/arcane/fire/elec resists came in handy depending on the situation, so not completely useless just mostly.
>>
>>363960186
I like everyone complains about an enemy that has one easy-to-parry attack that you can visceral to become immune to any frenzy damage.

Souls fanbase overhypes/complains about everything to scare you into thinking shits hard
>>
>>363959558
If he takes breaks and but is persistent then this is the best advice.

You can reach a wall where you have some underlying misconception about how the game works and then you will do nothing but get frustrated over the fact that you can't progress. At that point its time to take a break anon.

Ha. Holy shit I feel like a moron now.

I totally forgot about the invincibility frames in the viceral animation.

I'll remember that on my next playthrough later this year
>>
>>363960521

did you really figure out that tactic on your first playthrough? Also the parrying the grab and timing the visceral with the frenzy meter can be fickle, it's definitely an experienced players strat mostly.
>>
>>363960963
I figured it out on my own farming mensis gems
>>
>>363960963

unexperienced strat is spamming sedatives btw
>>
>>363959156
>True end

It's really not because it still happens in the dream.

Death end is the real end. Everything else is you continuing a fucked up hallucination.
>>
>>363961239
You're only severed from the dream, meaning you can't return (aka respawn) -- You're the same as Alfred and Eileen. The night of the hunt is over, but when the next one comes around you better hope you don't die.
>>
>>363961239
... is it really a "hallucination" when you're dealing with reality-bending cosmic horrors that exist beyond space and time?
Sources say no.

>Don't level Endurance
It's too late for me, but why?
>>
>>363962121
There are 3 Stamina Up runes, 10%, 15% and 20%. You can use 10% and be just fine.
Dashes take so little stamina.
Unless your weapon requires a fuckton of stamina (Whirligig L2) you don't need to level endurance past 20, if you're rocking saw cleaver/saw spear, you don't need to level endurance past 10.
>>
>>363962121

It's not as valuable as in other Souls games, but I would level it a bit if I were you, just don't go over 20 and use the stamina+ caryll runes when you find them.
>>
There isn't really any trick to it. The mechanics are very basic. Attacks have certain animations and can mostly be canceled into dodges which means stamina is somewhat important. In bloodborne actually less than in the other souls games. You'll just have to smash your head against a wall until you learn it.
>>
>>363956228
>1.) Play Blind
You'll miss everything if you play blind... you'll miss Valtr's helm, little girl's story line, Iosefka, Madara Whistle, hidden weapons...
>2.) Explore all nooks and crannies, don't leave an area unexplored.
>3.) Talk to everyone

it actualy does... you want to wear henryks set against loran darkbeast and paarl...
>7.) Try to level up stats tied to your weapon's best scaling (ie: Saw Cleaver > STR, Hunter's Axe > STR, Threaded Cane > SKL)
Level skill first for viscerals....

Vit 40, End 40, Str 16, Skill 34 and then last two I never touched.

>End 40
Sounds par for the course for first playthrough
You're too use to Souls games.
END is more important there because it effected Equip Load, here that doesn't exist so it's not as important.

If you didn't spend the points in End you would have 20-30 extra points to spend, you could have easily maxed out your SKL to 50, or got STR to it's first soft cap of 25 and SKL to 50 and have 10 points left to spend

I played for the first time two weeks ago and the only things I was aware of regarding the game were Rom, Gehrman, and Ludwig, and was able to find all those things just fine.
>>
>>363963152
>I played blind and knew that I had to bring 5x Vermin to Valtr in Forbidden woods (3 of which I could obtain in game, 2 of which I had to summon people, meaning I summon people on my first playthrough) and then use all 5 in front of Valtr, talk to him get his staff, HARD RELOAD the area to make him despawn to grab his helmet and then HARD RELOAD the area again to fight Twin Madara

Sure bro
>>
Just keep playing the game OP. Adapt or die.
>>
>>363963310
>2 of which I had to summon people, meaning I summon people on my first playthrough

You get Vermin when you're summoned too.
>>
>>363963121
Ah well. I figured the more End I had the more I could spam attacks with the cane and Ludwig's sword or even the Beast Claw.
>>
>>363963658
There's not a situations where you can keep attacking and deplete all your stamina sweetie

>>363962940
This is actually a great spread. Good job Anon, from here you can just max your damage ability, which looks like Skill
>>
>>363963962
I've found it pretty useful in certain situations but I'll remember that next time when making another character maybe. I've spent so much time beefing up the first one I don't know if I'd want to do it all over again.

Eh. This is alright I guess, it wears really thin by the time you get to Central and Lower.

Does Isz look different as well?

Alright.

So when I start to play Arcane Cauliflower I'll have to suffer the Hintertombs again to get this.
>>
>>363955527

Use R1 for everything.

Start with the cane.

The cane is so fast that it just interrupts everybody and you can essentially R1 mash the whole game with it.
