It wasn't too bad, I got Judas' shadow and kept it on the 3rd rerun so I immediately killed myself and started as dark judas with brimstone/mom's knife and incubus. The rest was a cakewalk. It just took almost two fucking hours total.

I really hope for Antibirth getting added seamlessly into the main game because then angel rooms will be viable again.

Seeing where your enemies are is very valuable.
I honestly go for Surveillance 3 so I can see when to trigger things like Stealth and hacking, but that's personal.
A few good Artemis Missiles/Halberds to your enemy's literal face is a great way to clean up annoying enemies.

Depends on where you are.
You should have level 3 of shields by sector 4-5.
You should absolutely have level 5 of engines, but it's pointless to go past that.
You don't need any sensor upgrades unless you're boarding/using anti-crew weaponry.
Upgrade doors once, you don't need more of it unless you're going into a mantis sector.
But with those weapons you're pretty much guaranteed a win anyway.
