I had a 32 and I had plenty of games on it so I'd recommend 32 if you are dirt poor and 64 so you don't have to be hassled ever again.

Awhile back I formatted my 3ds because it seemed like it would help. I backed up all of my sd card's junk onto my computer with simple copy and paste and then formatted and kept trying to downgrade but to no avail.... Turns out I couldn't restore my save data and I fell into a deep depression because of it. I thought that maybe someday I'll be able to restore that data so I just let it sit on my sd card alongside the new save data for my 3ds.


so "e605375ea26bb5a6bcefb6728693f6b4" is the old one
and "d763a5b4cee02fd134e23329b1a1a6c6" is the one I'm currently using.

As I've been trying to hack my 3ds again, while trying to backup my sysnand I realized that the old folder's still there and might interfere with the process so I tried to delete it but it's got some undeletable files on it. One of 'ems 4GB.


What the fuck do I do? I think my sd card might need formatting but I'm not sure how to properly back up my stuff.

Weird files with fucked up filenames like that usually means data corruption so your SD is probably dying. Just copy everything you can out of it before it's too late and hope your saves weren't affected.

also there's a chance that you just got unlucky and the SD isn't actually damaged, you can try formatting it and continuing to use it but make sure you have everything backed up

Vitamin was garbage and didn't dump games in their entirety. It became common to fix broken Vitamin dumps by taking the scemodules from Maidumped games back when Maidump itself wasn't public. This is "applying chink semen"

freeshop isn't dead. Nintendo just DMCA'd the github but the creator re-uploaded the code somewhere else and released version 2.1.4 entitled "FUCK NINTENDO edition".

The only advantage CIAngel has over freeshop is that it loads the cache automatically instead of it having to be made separately.

DSTWO is a battery drain in a 3ds. On a DS/DSi, the GBA & SNES emulation was worth the extra power, but not in 3ds with VC Injects.

DSTT is recommended, but basically any that launch will do the job

I know at least RetroArch on PC supports mouse input, and it can use it to emulate the NES Zapper. I've played Duck Hunt with mouse and it works perfectly.
If RetroArch on 3DS could support stylus input and use it to emulate the Zapper instead, we could have a Duck Hunt with touch controls.
