Is it a N3DS small or XL? Either way, you're going to have to force open the thing manually and break the screw/backplate, or rely entirely on FTPD/data management SD transfer to change files.

If it's an N3DS small then there's really no problem as you can buy another backplate, with the XL you're going to have to look a little harder.

Question. I'm trying to hack my N3DS XL. I got up to the part where I run fasthax, seemed to go smoothly, but when I exited it just stayed on a solid screen - black on the top screen, red lower screen. I had to power it down since it wasn't responding to anything.

It rebooted fine, not bricked or anything, but when I try to load safehax, it just gives this error:

When I try to run fasthax again it basically says there's a backdoor already installed and doesn't do anything else.

Couple of last minute questions before I start the 3DS hacking process.

1. The first two steps of the guide say to put some files on your SD card, do a thing, then put more files on the SD card and do another thing. Is there any reason why I couldn't just put all the files from both steps on the SD card, then do both things without having to swap back and forth between my 3DS and PC?
