How would I go from restoring a save from my computer to the 3ds? I have the cfw installed already.

I was the same at first but I really do have a passion for playing and enjoying games. It help that I only play 1 game at a time without starting any other until I have beaten. That way I prevent feeling overwhelmed. Maybe you downloaded the japanese game instead of just the update. You need the update and it does not break the translation. Is your region/language setting checked in luma configuration? Maybe switch between stable or hourly of luma, or use LumaLocaleSwitcher to force jpn language and region.

I didn't have to do anything special to get it to work besides installing the official 1.1 update. I'm playing using that exact cia.

Use luma localeswitcher to force jpn language and region. You might need to switch to stable version of luma instead of the hourly, or find the version of localeswitcher that was fixed for hourly. The pathing for the region files switched at some point with hourly.

I recommend not using the official dlc. The custom DLC pack on 3dsiso is better, it includes all the official songs, and also ports songs from a bunch of other taiko games bring the song list up to 250+. But you can only select 85 to import at once because of song limit.

Just copy the cia to cia folder of SD card, browse to it in FBI, select it and install. If you followed the guide recently FBI should not be out of date. Latest is 2.4.6, and you can update from within the app itself if you need to.

No you don't need .3dsx files, those are for running through homebrew launcher. If you are on custom firmware you should be installing cias. There's a way to download health and safety again but I forgot how. The guide makes you do a backup of it normally. You'll just have 2 FBI icons, but you can hide the old one in a folder.

Somehow I managed to corrupt my new Micro SD card almost immediately.

Actually I think my problem was that my old USB adapter would read my 128GB card as FAT32 with only 21GB of space. I used my phone to properly format it to exfat 128GB to make sure it wasn't fake, then my computer would not read it at all anymore. I then used my other adapter to format it for the 3DS.

Basically you are going to need a proper SD card reader to format your SDHC card to FAT32 with 32KB or 64KB cluster size like the 3DS requires.

You need an internet connection to access a web page during the guide. Leave wifi on.

If you've ever loaded the sound app before you don't have to worry about the tips. Clicking through the tips is so they don't reappear every time you launch soundhax.
