Someone made a Dragoncraft deck that uses only spells and the pendant amulet that boosts effects and spells damage by 1 point, it's not supposed to be serious but half of the general started playing it as a joke and now people joke that Rowen is the greatest wizard in the game and about recharging their crystals together. For Gargos specifically? Your ranged game is about hard reads and you have to not over-extend and get yourself punished. When in close range, play solid defense, shadow counter to give yourself some room, poke out of unsafe things with lk or c.mp into light portal punch as your opener. When on offense in close range, toss in tick throws with your medium command grab after pokes, basically just don't do stupid unsafe shit too often. Learn your best lockout combo from infil. Bottom line, if your defense is ass, you are going to get mauled. Just play more.

that's kinda just the back and forth of 3S, a lot of people hate it for that reason. Option select jump-ins/parry are crazy and you just gotta hold that. It's best to just not commit to a hard AA like shoryu but find your AA button. Some people have multi-hit AA and those are excellent for catching parry-mashers. Another option is to parry their jump-in and then AA, as they will be in recovery from it.

If it hits the foe they are inflicted with a status that within 3-9 seconds after a landed hit by them their character will do a random cancel into a -3 state on the ground.

Goober here trying out SFV, while it's not a very interesting game in the first place the biggest problem is easily the time it takes to get matches. The amount of time you're forced to waste looking at menu/loading/victory screens is ridiculous, even battle lounges are way too slow to play in.
