Controlling health packs and denying ults during a team fight can make a big difference.

Rein and D.va have defensive shields so they are a priority to kill

Blizz could release a short or comic that ends with Tracer discovering Emily has disappeared, Talon's involvement heavily implied, but not directly stated. As far as anyone in-universe knows, Emily is just missing and they're "investigating."
Then Blizzard just kind of glosses over it for a year, not mentioning Emily in any further Overwatch media.
Then next season, Blizzard intros a new character, a female masked Talon agent. No mention of Emily, but by this time, fans will probably be able to speculate it's her and Blizzard responds to inquiry with intentional vagueness.
Then at the end of the season or however long they feel like dragging it out, they can reveal it's her in a short and ad some skins that show her face. Add some unique dialogue when the two fight each other, etc.
Could be pretty cool, but there'd be no actual way to make the reveal a surprise to the fans.

If you need to hold your shield do so for your team. 8( If doing so does not help your team because your dicking around building ults. Go for a pick his charge is what makes him good. Positioning is key, there are very few instances when your healer should be in front of your main group.
For dps try to focus down targets your teammates are already shooting at, make sure to try and aim for healers or their backline if you can.
