The radial hypnosis is decent but I've found for something like farming Infested, it actually slows them down from running toward you.

So it slows down max killing speed, and I guess in some situations the mesmerize is a boon. I'll actually try this out in sorties to see if it's better CC than other options.

Talons have innate ragdoll which is nice.

I seem to remember the damage boost on talons that have set on enemies/walls pulls them above sancti castanas, but the syndicate proc and highly mixable innate electric are worth it too.

I also remember Talons being able to have more mines out than Castanas, but you'll want to detonate soon anyway

even the most bullshit riven will not salvage it for post level 80 content, though it will allow your favourite non-meta (ie shit) gun to stay relevant for an extra 5-10 minutes on endless missions. See: Tiberon, Tetra, etc etc

Rivens essentially only benefit those guns that are on the cusp of greatness but are limited by some core characteristic despite being solid in a particular niche; generally speaking, this means guns that were formerly meta but got outpowercreeped. See: Braton Prime, Burston Prime, Boar Prime, Sobek, etc etc

tl;dr cestra variants are shit and unsalvageable, that riven is pretty meh, and unless you're a cestra fan there isn't much point putting in the effort to reroll it
that said, secura dual cestras on a mirage are super fun to dick around with, and mirage does allow them to be relevant for longer than a lot of other frames can

If you don't give a shit about other people and you have good weapons you're basically the terminator. High damage reduction, can't be knocked down, heal yourself whenever you do take damage. Not the most interesting to play, but your DPS output basically never stops. Having to recast Blessing every 30s is gay though

Eh, you can somewhat salvage garbage guns with rivens if you're willing to spend endo on the primed bane mods. I'm haivng fun with this thing in sorties, but I'm also using an autofire macro and the downsides of small mag and long-ish reloads become pretty apparent.

I have new loka, perrin, and vail maxed and im working my way up meridian using vail regalia and daily missions. Once I reach max rank with steel meridian and go back to earning loka, perrian rep will i eventually lose max ranks in meridian? Or will I keep those steel merridian ranks and just lose rep?

If the Rep for Steel Meridian drops below 0, it'll go down a rank and you'll have to regain the rep and make another sacrifice to get back up.
