Bit early but I can just leave it open for a long time. Seems like a lot of people have finished the games anyway.

Why doesn't Rance just keep Chaos with him at all times?

I can see how he'd get annoyed by having Chaos around at all times, even though their bantz are top notch. But the fact it allows him to fight demons/fiends whereas nobody else can makes the sword extremely important, plus it's stats are better than what he'd normally have anyway.

I don't know the exact formula, but in essense it's like this
Base stat X (Item Stat boost[if any] X Number of items of the type used) = Final stat
So in essence, whether you use five HP boosts on Patton when you first receive him, or do it at his level cap, the final stat will be the same.
Also, characters with high base stat will get bigger boost from relevant items.

Thread has been really active with Rance VI release. In VI they send about 100k if I'm remembering right, half of that is beaten before Chaos really even gets involved and that's only fighting Zeth. The invasion would've been repulsed as soon as Leazas got involved even if Rance wasn't there. If he wasn't, the Leazas army would sweep through Zeth after crushing the last remnants of the Zeth high command and army, the monster army would've suffered massive casualties from this new highly organized army appearing with intent to clear and conquer the remaining lands of Zeth and been forced to retreat.

To actually manage an invasion of the world they would've had to commit a whole lot more, which if they did they would struggle to hold the line against Hornet's faction who would definitely take advantage of the situation to try and make a decisive strike against the leader of the enemy faction.

Basically, merely by existing up there, Hornet is saving the world.

At each puzzle you have to add the dice too 40 for shizuka or 41 for sill, depending on who you are doing.

Not having the skills means to not be able to do it all, or do it but not being good at it at all.

While having level 0 means you can use it normally.

The thing about level 0 is that they normally don't even list it. Together with another part of this post that say every person has about 20 skills, then everyone should hae many level 0 skills that is not listed.

For instance, Sill and Shizuka, while not able to do it at a professional level, are both able to make tasty food that aren't a disaster. So both should have level 0 in a food making related skill.

Just finished the main story of Rance VI, after having already finished 5D. I'm glad I've now played all the translated Rance games and I hope mangagamer translates Quest and IX (I'm assuming VI sold well? I know it did well in pre-orders but I've been off internet to avoid spoilers). I'm glad I bought them.

The game plays was pretty fun and I enjoyed the dungeon designs. I think Papaya's labs, hell, and the calculator cube were the most interesting ones. I really like the SP system. It's FE5's shitty fatigue system done right. I'm a bit upset certain characters can't be used in the post game, but it's understandable why.

I think my favorite scenes (so far since I'm not done with the post game) were:


1. The scenes where Rance was held hostage by Camilla.
2. The first Kaoru sex scene was really neat
3. Ghandi thinking Rance destroying the batteries was to get 1st and 2nd class to work together
4. Magic falling in love with Rance while he complained how shitty her cooking was
5. The yankee body swapping


and I'm sure there were others that I just can't remember right now.

My only real complaints are that the sex scenes at times were more out of place than any other time in the series since Rance just stops to fuck and rape people while everyone else is present and that I liked how Ragarl and Nagi were handled in KR better.

I can also finally understand why people liked Chaos so much in the Japanese popularity poll, but I don't really see how Seizel was so popular or how people liked the lightning general. From a pure Rance VI perspective, neither was very interesting, and Uspira pretty much does everything the lightning general does, but more badass.

My biggest regret though is that all these games later, and I still really only like Shizuka for her design. She's still not top 5 girl for me, and I like Sanakia (only personality) and Kanami more.)
