2. Raid Sabo is a Freedom captain, so a lot of future content is beat using a Freedom team with a Raid Sabo captain with a friend Log Luffy since they both do the Good > Great > Perfect method of boosting attack, and you'll want Apoo as the freedom booster there.

Just did it with SW Usopp. Take a hit from Lao G as close to 50% as you can. Attack regular 1st turn, 2nd turn use Hera and Ace #1's specials. Apoo can then be killed in 2 turns with Ace #2, Franky and Z specials.
Usopp helped with having a QCK character, but I honestly might have even wanted to use him on Lao G, because I as in no risk from fucking up Apoo in 2 turns.

Also seeing as how you can't use raid bosses, other legends, or most RR units for that matter as subs, how does this not limit you? If you could have the potential damage output of what Rayliegh is capable of, why limit yourself to <=20 cost units?
As for the enemy wave clears, unless I'm up against 6 enemies with a 1 turn cd, I never really have an issue with clearing waves.
Really, teh only argument I could see for Sengoku is his special and how universal it is, but otherwise I just don't see the benefit.

Gotcha, well a lot of it is F2P factor, the fact that his effect is at 20 cost means almost every fortnight unit is usable on his team, and he's a triple attack captain with no condition like under 30 or full health. He's great at speed running because of the CDR in his captain ability, with lvl 2 cdr sockets that's 6 turns off your base cooldown, and without putting yourself in danger.
His special is also universal, it's 50% extra damage for every unit regardless of type or situation. Hell I think Rayleigh uses Sengoku as a sub in one of the forests because of this. Plus the random damage from it can hit up to 150k, which has actually helped me out of some shit situations.
Rayleigh's captain ability also fucks him over to an extent, he can't collect RCV orbs without taking a MASSIVE damage cut, and even a tiny mistake can fuck over an otherwise easy run. It's not enough to even hold against him, but if we're comparing him to someone who can make mistakes, it shows up.

Sengoku isn't dependant on other legends
His primary units are mostly f2p
he speed runs nearly everything he can qualify for

his negative is he is slightly RNG dependant on orbs for harder colos and raids, but most of those teams are heavy cerebral and he can use red force + level 3 orbs+Breed special to negate it.

Ex. Goku x2, Breed, Robin, Impact and Norland is used for Colo ace, added with Red force you basically roll RNG on breed for revival of ace to finish.

We don't have it yet but it just allows you to trade units for points and then buy things with the points. It makes pulling dupes less painful, although thus far the powerhouse boat is really the only noteworthy thing that has popped up in the store.

You can buy universal skill books but I don't think they're worth the points to be honest. Better to hold out for more boats in the future. Maybe if they eventually make the skill ups from the universal books guaranteed they'll be a better deal.

Reminder that DR is a RNG socket as well. You have to get hit in that exact tiny delta of damage to be able to say "whoa, I survived with 100 hp, thanks DR!". In any other case DR is a dead socket.

Yeah that's all well and good for the first 1-4 runs tops, but if my friends list is anything to go by (and I have pretty much everybody added) then you're going to be finding 1-5 of each legend at best at any one time and even after refreshing they aren't coming back til a few hours later. There's no way you can practically 'farm' like that.

Should I socket my legend Marco with DR? I was thinking his 5 sockets could go along well with a double Fuji/swace team, since they have 5 slots as well so you can reach those 15 points without bricking your other subs with meme combinations. Plus, since you only use Marco on those teams when you need tankiness, the DR could help with getting more hits while charging the full heal

But then there's the fact you need DR on ace/fuji as well, and you need friends with the same sockets.

10-turn orb boosters should prioritize autoheal/cdr in my opinion, since you only ever use them when trying to speed-run shit with 3x captains like Marco or Thatch. Max autoheal actually lets you stall a turn or two if it's required, and CDR helps with the whole "speed run" part.

Your mileage may vary, if you intend to use them for other things. But I've been playing since release and I've only ever used Coby/Kaku as subs for Marco/Thatch.

You just put whatever is strong against what you are facing. With Raid Boa generally.
Most team are basically Doffy+Type booster+Orb manipulator.

If you need qck it'll be Lucci + enel + doffy (Qck one is better) + Boa
Needs Str ? Doffy, Fighter or free spirit or str booster, Boa, whatever you need. LL provide the orbs here
For psy it's easy, Tesoro or Rakuyo to get the orbs, enel or Impact usopp for the boost, Boa, and whoever you want as a last.

Colo Hawkins is a very good subs, Raid Boa too, Both Rakuyo are good, all "give adjacent unit X orbs" are good too.

Princess turtles give the most xp in the game, but you don't need Duval. Duval is really situational, I can't think of a use for him actually. The only time I've seen him run are Sugar teams, and this one Shiki team that used a Buffalo captain that looked really fun to use.

Hawkins gives orbs to everyone but boa, doffy gives the orb to boa in the bottom row and boosts everyone, boa and sabo give their OP boosts, and you curbstomp everything of any color, even without a color/class boost.
