I was banned for laying down a frost trap as a hunter, while a rogue kept trying to gank me.

Basically I would lay a trap and stand on it, wait for the rogue to pop out of stealth and attack me, and he'd freeze in place. I'd /laugh and move away from him, lay another trap, and repeat. He really wanted to kill me.

I received a 3 hour ban from a GM because I was 'griefing' a rogue that was trying to gank me. The FUCK.

Get the resistance up to 300.
Throw about 400 spells at the target in a duel.
If approximately 270-330 of the spells are resisted, then the resistance is fine.
If it's under 270, then there is no resistance being applied correctly and is instead using a baseline regardless of resistance offered.
If it's over 330 then resistance is being applied over the cap and needs to be modified.
