T-34s are reliable to pen frontally yeah, but at an angle, moving, distance, divergence etc they still get stray bounces.

KV-1S on the other hand is -220 levels of fucking broken armor modeling, needlessly overlapping plates, 45mm plates acting like 200mm+, blackhole breech, hidden internal plates like the T-34-85 gets, etc. Shooting their hull is reliable, turret is a nightmare.

Ho-Ri's three iterations might be decent in WT depending on BR, but the armor is once again near-null. O-I, Type 4-5, and the super heavies mite b cool depending on BR, but the guns are meme-tier and they're begging to be bombed. All their tankettes saw great success in Manchuria where there were few anti-tank weapons for the the Chinks to use. A rifle couldn't penetrate, so they're effectively mobile pillboxes.

When they fought the Ruskies in Khalkin Gol they got shitstomped by their shitvans, although comparatively they were seal clubbers. Their developments afterwards would have given those BT-7s a run for their money. Germans were largely pioneering tank development, and when the Russians were invaded, they had to adapt. This adapting went back in forth, sparking tank development. Japan was extremely far away from this, and therefore wasn't forced in developing better tanks.

Their development was also hampered because for the most part they're fighting on jungle/volcanic islands which are shit country for tanks, and they chokehold that USA put them in over oil and metals pretty much meant they'd have to put what little they had towards boats and planes.

Hey guys, on PC, is there any way to set the control method up so that I can use my DS4 controller for Sim planes, but then use mouse and keyboard at the same time for RB tanks/Events without having to re-input a bunch of shit every time I want to switch?

I tried mouse-joy in Sim tanks battles, but I cannot fly well with it at all, its just shit. I have a regular joystick here too, but I don't like using the wee 8 axis hat for looking around, its not granular enough. I tried what other people suggested in using mouse + joy for flying, but that requires all manner of gymnastics when I want to switch from tank to plane.
