I think its objectively one of the best metas, if not the best but psychologically it feels terrible because 4 of the top 7 decks use the same Patches type opener shits. If you are playing control for some reason you are confused, you see a Jade Druid you autolose which pisses you off.

Renolock is so much better than Renomage it makes me sick.

However you are correct that there are more deserved victories this expansion and game feels more solid and healthy then for a long time. People just seem bummed because they can't play their style or they think there are too much aggro decks and pirates I think.

That deck was literally recommended for the average player to rank up. It was autopilot. Mulligan for ramp. Cast spells to clear board. Cast nourish. Kill them with giants. Kill them with malygos. Slam yogg if you're losing or out of cards.

Even raven idol, the only part of the deck that required choice, was literally "pick spell mode, pick burn" unless you had fandral out in which case you removed the illusion of choice.

It literally puked spells unless it had time to hold living roots and moon fire to otk people.

Is it worth including Patches for a class with no weapons as a Bloodsail Corsair synergy as a replacement for Swamp Ooze? Zoolock specifically.

The upside is potentially better tempo and a stronger play against non-weapon classes, the downside is that it doesn't guarantee weapon destruction and has one less card in the deck. Then again I could run both with how prevalent weapons are this meta, but that might be fucking the larger scheme of the deck.

Possessed Villager -> Argent Squire
Flame Imp -> Mistress of Mixtures
Soulfire -> Power Overwhelming
Knife Juggler -> Flame Juggler
Dire Wolf -> Lance Carier
Councilman -> Brann
Imp Boss -> Harvest Golem
Doomguard -> Leeroy

Obviously not all of them are a perfect match, but you get the idea. It's all just trial and error: if it doesn't work ,then it doesn't work.

Looking back at day1 of the expansion I was super lucky to pull the two meta-defining cards (Patches, Kazakus) with the measly 30-something packs I could afford, but the game is already boring again, and I can't bring myself to waste gold/dust on archetypes I know are complete garbage right now.

I'm hitting my next pity timer in MSG and moving back to classic packs / saving gold.
It's a shame blizzard didn't realize by enforcing rock-paper-scissors match-ups they're going to make the meta stale very fast.

Have 2500 dust and i mostly play shaman. What should i craft from the new cards? I own almost every necessary card from the last card expansion. But have almost no good cards from the new one.

I don't see it working. Most of zoo's strength comes in the consistency of the minions. Some variations use specific legendaries as tech cards but you want to have a second doomgaurd, dark peddler, etc.

So /hsg/: will the meta become less stale if they nerf smalltime cuck? Currently aggro shaman and pirate warrior invalidate most slow(er) decks in the game with a few notable exceptions, to the point where two classes are completely out of the picture (hunter, paladin), and all other classes have one, at most two variants that are playable.

If they nerf buccaneer, that will probable easen the ungodly pirate early game, but will it make the two most cancerous decks weak enough to allow the meta to develop more decks? Warrior will probably go down pretty fast, put shaman will still retain their bullshit curve with unreal power creep. Even if shaman will also be less potent, that will only make renolock stronger, although I do believe if more midrange decks could rise up, then renolock will have more unfavored opponents as well.

I, for one, am anxiously awaiting the probable nerf, because the game is stale as fuck. On rank 5-3 50% of my opponents are either warrior or shaman cucks, with about 20-20% miracle rogues and renolocks, and the rest are dragon priests. It's almost exclusively these 6 DECKS - not even classes, concrete decks with barely a card changing between them.

So anon, what do you think, what should be changed and how to make the meta more varied?

Come on anon, I can understand the hate against solitaire mage, but there was actually a fuckload of decks in Old Gods and even before that could beat freeze mage before they could melt your face. The problem with the current aggro decks is that there is only a very narrow range of decks that can play against them with a reasonable win rate, they are accessible and easy to pilot, therefore they also constrict the meta to a very narrow range, something that freeze mage never achieved (or at least not to this extent).

So what happened is I don't have enough cards or dust to go with either Aggro or true Midrange builds and I ended up with going with something in-between. My thoughts that maybe this was stupid because it doesn't have a strong enough early game and enough burn to end it quickly but also is weak late game. Any suggestions?

they belong to the aggro version, on curve they will provide a threat your opponent will have some problems to answer and provides insane synergy with TROGGSRULEXDDDD, also your curve is low enough to not to be overly impacted by the overload
in the "late" game, they will also boost your board significantly

However the problem with Reno is

-Reno is extremely rockpaperscissors in certain matchups and becomes "did you draw him before turn 6? if so you win"
-Reno rather than a control deck is a "I'm going to cram my deck full of high value shit and bank on having 2 lives to balance it out"

Reno is a very fun card to use but he's really polarizing matchup-wise which ends up with a meta like the current one where matchups are decided at start and/or turn6
