I like how they look to some extent, but I'm not really a big fan of crossover stuff. It doesn't really seem to fit with the game's theme aesthetically. Mostly, though, seeing everybody and their mother running around in those sets for 2 or 3 weeks after the event concludes is going to be depressing.

How is character customization in the game? Like the creator and then armors and shit whehn you start playing. Can you actually look varied or does everyone look the same like WoW.

I am liking XV so much I'm willing to dive into an MMO and I hear this is the second most popular one currently. Is it too late to hope in, will I be lost?

I would say character customization could use some work but it's alright. There's basically "archetypes" of characters that you can make. Older face, younger face, height, hair colors, etc.

The customization is.. kind of middling. Each race has like, 4 or 5 face presets, which you can adjust with 4 or 5 jaw, mouth, and eye presets plus some others. There are a lot of hairstyles, hair colours, skin colours, eye colours, etc, and some somewhat uncommon features such as hair colour highlights, but there's not a TON to work with. That said, it's not hard to make a decent looking non-sameface character, but it is easy to join the ranks of every other samefaced catgirl.

Also, I forgot to mention this, but the armour customization is pretty nice. Most armour sets can be dyed from a wide variety of colours, and there are only a few sets that I think look disgustingly terrible. There are a lot of nice looking weapons to choose from with each job as well.

Dodges/misses should still count towards Blood Price.

Or give Dark Arts different effects on Dark Passenger and Dark Dance. Both of the extra effects are only really useful on large group pulls (especially since youll want the DADP one for the massive damage), and large groups are exactly when you want to use Blood Price. You can say just hold onto Dark Dance and use another cooldown until BP has worn off, but you definitely want to DADP as soon as possible to get the cooldown rolling, and the damage increase is too significant to consider not DAing it. It's just counter-intuitive.

You should never have class objectives that clash with each other.
Dark Knights should be able to raise their dodge via cooldowns without fearing for MP loss.
Also if you play DRK, you know you want to run da+dd with bp right as you make the big pull. Not stagger them out.
It's just better to use dd with bp, and never ever use da+dd.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but going based off this list that I'll link to below, it appears that there is about half as much content between ARR and Heavensward as there was through lvls 1-50 of ARR?

This list shows that ARR has 184 main scenario quests with an additional 100 main scenario quests prior to starting the heavensward stuff. So does that sound about right, or are the post-ARR quests significantly smaller somehow?

Nope, there's just an enormous amount of fetch quest filler in between completing the original ARR story and the story that was added from 2.1 through 2.5.

Thankfully they sort of toned it down for 3.1-3.5, but 2.1-2.5 remains a landfill and it seems that the only way they're going to address that is to let you buy an item for $25 in Stormblood that skips you right up to the end of 3.5.

I'd use the chocobo rapier if it didn't have the chocobo amulet. The rapier itself is really nice. I've got my general red mage glamour decided for level 60, but I'm gonna save up various totems and pages for buying rapiers when it's added. Probably gonna farm wolf marks again as well

What's the fastest way to level a dps post 50?

I used PotD to get to 50, but it's taken me 4 sets of floors to get one level now and it sucks balls. I'm currently level 55.

If you really want to change though, just mess around with the character creator a bunch. A small tip, though - highlights can completely change the way the base tone of your hair looks, and limbal rings/eye colour combinations can have the same effect. This cat fanta, for instance, looks insanely strange to me without the highlights. The hair seems like it's a shade darker, and it looks much more flat. iono.

PotD is still the fastest way, sorry.

Leveling Roulette and doing your 1-3 star Centurio hunt bills are also good, and Trial Roulette is okay considering how quickly it goes by but isn't a very big chunk of exp in any case.

PotD remains the fastest and most reliable way to get exp that doesn't have a daily limit.
