Well it's the entire grinding for materials and investment that has to be done with tier 5 stuff. For armor it seems okay, but for the weapons there's a problem right now where the durability and damage fall off is far greater on tier 5 weapons. A couple R2 slashes of the Muramasa Blade will already put it at a point where the damage is just barely higher than a tier 4 +4 katana doing the same amount of slashes, and then you do a couple more with the tier 5 and it'll be somewhere near 75% or 60% of its total durability with an insane amount of damage fall off.

Try a Dev's tier 5 katana after you've found one and Fun Fungus'd it and just look at the damage fall off when you use it a couple times. Even if you have it created it would only last maybe twice as long as that, but even without the durability bonus from having it researched it's like a handful of hits before the damage drops through the ground.

Also tfw I spent money finally on this game to get 500 storage and had a bunch leftover and now I've stooped so low to actually use them to upgrade the blue bank faster because I was capped from all the raids and everything was upgrading already except the restroom which needs 512k for the last slot I think.

I literally went from Bronze to Diamond in a day just doing raids after raids because it's so easy as long as you never go into the tower. I feel sorry for the people who put high lvl fighters on defense and get them kidnapped by someone like me because they will never get them back unless they pay the ransom. Defense in general is useless and you're better off using fighters for expeditions.

Dude, they drop weapons all the time, the problem is that you're not going to be using these weapons for killing anything outright. You need an iron or a couple of them for the armor and then the weapons they drop are for the kill. The only weapon you'd be using from their drops are the Pitching Machines for Bullet Tubers and possibly Hover Tubers anyway.

It's completely not. Nokejiri's route requires you to go through a minimum of two Haters and the areas are almost as big as Chitose-mei is. The trap room is also smaller and drops two Bone Tubers on you while Chitose-mei is just one Screamer after another.

And to get to it you either have to go into the other end of one of the worst areas in the game (fuck cancermoto seriously) the vast majority of the time or speedrun through an additional area. This already takes longer then spending lke 10 seconds to get into chitose, which is a tiny area and finding the chest is usually quick. To top all that chitose trap is just 5 shitty screamers in a row, not bone tubers stalling your time and shredding your armor. Nokejiri is shit.

That's not true. On multiple occasions whilst farming Nokejiri I've had to run through all three areas in Kamoto to get there.

Update, not in Nora. It seems if you die on a don floor (but not in the don area) and your hater symbol appears in the don area then your hater's basically lost to the ether. It might specifically be an issue with Nora/Hachiyanma. In short, don't die in Nora.

At least this little diversion got me that Sniper Rifle BP (and it only appeared in all my farming when I played Shooter, lending some credence to KnightAnon's theory).

When a character dies it costs KC (main ingame currency) to salvage them, getting their inventory back, including the KC they had on them. This cost is determined by what floor they died on, higher costing more, eventually up to a point where it's no longer really feasible of a bill to foot (250k). Death Metals are a currency you can acquire in game in a few ways (a lot of them are bugged) that can be converted into KC at a rate of 1DM = 5k KC, 1DM will generally run you about $0.40 - $0.50 excluding packages. These can also be used two at a time to expand your storage (extremely important), or one at a time to instantly revive your character after dying, like a quarter in a beat'em'up.

So basically, having to bail your guy out with real money isn't really feasible, and fuck ever doing that. 250k would cost $12.50 in DM, and your characters/inventories just aren't that important. You can eventually have up to 10 godamn characters, and it's not impossible to level up a new character, even though the game does put some obstacles to re-doing it when you get farther.

For tips read the pastebin, it'll go over the basics.

My whole locker is stocked with max level T5s who I often remove for free SPL to upgrade shit. The point is that T5s, or ANY character is fairly worthless, not even worth the continue function.

Also once you read Grade 5 you really should just try to avoid dying in general, the game provides you enough mushroom bullshit that it's reasonable to not die anymore. Last guy I actually ended up having to remove was due to a bug on 40F, which was frustrating since it also ate my damn weapon.

The Katana is honestly one of the best weapons. It just shreds HP like nothing, it essentially does as much damage as the Pork Chopper but with double the range and speed, has four different types of attacks, the Rage does insane amounts of damage, and it's quite simple to upgrade. It's by far the best endgame weapon since it's used to kill Jackals without them being too much of a bother.

That just seems way too steep for something you may have to do multiple times (game's pretty damn buggy) considering the cost of an actual game.

Also in case you haven't done so and I know you're not asking for tips, but stocking money via the reward chest is a good way to keep a sum around for emergency salvage. Golden Snails are also a good 'bankable' money source, 10 slots for 2DMs can be taken up with 10 snails which would sell for 73k, meaning with preparation, so $1 for a reuseable $73k.

Or the snails can be used to just powerlevel a replacement character, they're quite a versatile item to bank. Just be sure to expedition Okusa hard on that rotation.

I mean, in sum, I just feel like DM should give players short on time better value for the money spent, $12.50 for a single character salvage is fucked up when it's only $0.50 for a revive for an in-game reason. Feels like if they want DM to be used for Salvage there should be a quick grab option, like 1 DM per floor tier as a salvage cost, so the highest you'd be paying is $2 for a character salvage. That seems reasonable as fuck for someone who wants to avoid a little grind on re-doing characters.

Masamune is useless for AI enemies, it's super easy to dodge. But you as a player are smart enough to take advantage of it's L2 which is super fast with a fantastic sweep. It's actually fast enough to punish rapier attacks and it's damage is second only to maybe the welding gun.

Yeah I just try to keep 40-50 KC rewards in there, just keep anything above 5k or so, and up the minimum value when I start getting high. I just use it as a 'I need a little more KC for elevator + mushroom stew so I don't get robbed while I'm gone' piggy banking rather than salvage anymore.
