Skill is more fun than bloodtinge. Bloodtinge you'll get stuck with only one mode of the chikage forcing you to transform and untransform all the time, one mode of the bloodletter unless when you want to add transform attacks on your combos and one mode of the bowblade, and one hunter tool that is just alright. Full potential evelyn is great though.

Skill weapons usually does less damage per attack though.

I think I'm stuck in the Research Hall. I activated the thing that moves the stairs up, but now I can't get back there. Threaded cane is better I think. You might get the blade of mercy early but you'll lose a good rune and a covenant and the BoM is a late bloomer in terms of damage, and after Vicar Amelia you can get the beasthunter saif early in the dlc which is an all around great skill weapon.

For the first time I've noticed on the ground floor of Byrgenwerth when you first enter, to the right of the door, there is a trapdoor hooked up to a winch. Does this open under any circumstance? It's not chained shut, it's hooked up to a mechanism but I don't see a switch or anything.

How do I stop myself getting frustrated at Ludwig?

I'm doing a BL4 run, and fuck me dead man, this fight is some real bullshit. Several OHKOs and every attack takes off like 80% of my health. Taking time to learn attacks and patterns isn't really an issue, I think the reason I'm getting so frustrated is because of how fucked the scaling is. It seriously feels like NG+1 or 2 compared to the main game bosses.

The pokes are some of the longest reaching atracks in the game, the sword part is longer than the kirkhammers, it's buffable and with the AR gets absolutely monstrous with no split damage.
