There is nothing wrong with trading for Ebony ore as long as you know how to craft weapons with it. A smith's job is to smith, not mine. Just because the orcs set up their stronghold over an Ebony mine doesn't mean they're better at smithing Ebony.

As for the lore book, those have been known to be full of myth and misconception. Jarl was probably like "hey try to make a daedric sword by doing this thing I read." In fact you can almost be certain that's untrue, otherwise any schmuck could make daedric weapons by reading that book.

The longhammer is nice but DPS doesn't tell the whole tale. When I use the superior, beefier Wuuthrad to slay an elf in one hit, faster than the longhammer's 2 or 3, the long hammer doesn't seem so great.

Not that any of that matters because dual dagger Elemental Fury will out-DPS everything.

You don't have to worry about the outfit studio part. Launch bodyslide, select the body type you use in one dropdown then body in the other. Click the include racemenu sliders button then ctrl click batch build. Select all of the spicegear stuff then build it. Find them and make sure they went to the right folder.

Then when you equip them ingame, you can change the hip size with racemenu sliders.

It's reasonable, but basically worthless. Value, trade, prices, they're all fucked in general. We had the discussion about the falmer gems a few threads ago. Those should be nearly priceless. Daedric artifacts too.

Any isolated fix doesn't cut it. You'd need to fix all prices, trading, trading policy (fencing) and rewards. Then you'll realize that one mod will break it all again because the game allows modders to set a direct monetary value for items instead of applying a type of ingame logic of "worth".

I'm not entirely sure how restoration works, but it seems to be more of a "reverse back to normal" kind of healing, not a repair healing.
So if "normal" organs for you are failing, I don't think healing them would do anything, since the organs themselves are the problem not an outside invader like a disease or a blade.
But again, I'm not really sure.

There is nothing showing the average Imperial smith makes ebony though. From one of the lore books an Imperial smith who was a master of the craft could work it. Most smith's make iron or steel, but most orc smith's make orichalcum.

Also Wuuthrad is garbage. It cannot be sharpened and doing more damage in 1 hit isn't worth the slower swing speed. The Longhammer does it in 2 or 3 but it does it faster. Not to mention Wuuthrad isn't superior to the Longhammer since it doesn't even deal bonus damage to Orcs, only other types of elves.

Felt sorry for this dragon attacking Riften, he got absolutely wrecked.

I'm finding dragon fights a bit too easy, I'm playing with wildcat combat on expert w/ OBIS + rebalanced encounter zones and it has made bandits and other assorted creatures a bit more challenging. But dragons are still way too easy, I have diversified dragons installed but they still go down way too easy. Is there a good dragon difficulty modifier? I used DCO last play through but the main thing seemed to be just making it fly around more and the dragon used to run off or fly away when it was too damaged then come back a minute later.

Except they don't have a source of it, only the orcs are shown in Skyrim to (and admittedly there are a few other spots). Now I can see smiths in the major holds (or even places like Falkreath) getting ebony ore from trade as well, but a backwater village like Riverwood? Probably not. Alvor mentions most of his business comes from repairing the saw and sharpening axes.

That's exactly what I said, that they trade for ebony ore.

The issue being is Alvor from Riverwood says his most of his business comes from sharpening axes and repairing the sawmill, with his weapons and armour being side things. He's got nothing to show he can make ebony aside from the stupid "lol scaled merchant items". His forge has steel and iron ingots, not ebony. The forge in Narzulbur on the other hand shows an ebony ore and ingot next to the smelter, which clearly shows they can refine the ore into ebony (which contrary to in game, isn't actually that easy).

Yeah, the Longhammer was probably made by a great smith. But was he the, "greatest smith the Orcs ever knew"? Considering he's unnamed, probably not.

You're also forgetting Orcish Armour is superior to everything except Ebony, Daedric, and Dragonbone. The heaviest armour of the Legion is made of steel, which is inferior. Even Steel Plate is (slightly) worse than Orcish Armour. The Legion doesn't supply Ebony armour on a regular basis.
