Reposting from last thread because drowned out by the noise of jackals and I honestly kinda want someone to convince me I'm wrong.

I think the actual system of climbing the tower is kinda fucked up. It's just scramble from elevator to elevator because dying will negate all progress since last elevator and saddle you with debt. Every items terrible durability means that exploring a little could seriously impede your ability to make it to the next elevator, especially with side floors since enemies repsawn on entrance. You could easily go up an escalator, find it locked from the other side, then have to fight your way through the floor you just cleared all over again. The game becomes
>Grind a floor with or immediately next to an elevator
>Once you saved up enough mats for an upgrade or at least enough coins for multiple weapons
>Try to find the shortest path to the next elevator
>Grind a floor with or immediately next to an elevator (probably the same one from step one
>Repeat

So unfortunately Nokejiri does not have a green chest in the Okusa rotation. It's a real shame, that would make a nice farming loop to go from Kaga > Uge > Ukisawa > Nokejiri > Kamoto

Because you can't just take two mechanics that share one point and drive that one point into the ground to defend every bullshit decision designed around that mechanics. In other roguelikes similar mechanics are supposed to cause pressure on the player, in this one, they're just another source of gear that is unbalanced and uncreative.

Every day at 00:00 GMT (so 2 hours ago) certain areas of the map rotate out. There are 4 rotations that I know of, but I'm seeing them repeat so I assume that's it.

The rotated floors are never on a path that's needed to progress, instead they're generally added paths to main areas. Rotation areas generally only comprise 3-5 areas of a tier.

The Jackals are body collectors, Senpai. Uncle Death outright says that in the cutscene that introduces them. The Dons are the ones going around Haterifying all of the dead Fighters.

It's just a game mechanic so that you can't just buy a fuckton of death metals and outlast the Jackals. don't think too hard about it.

Your first time through you'll probably want to shroom cheese. Use a spear that you've gotten at least the mastery up high enough to unlock the Skill, as it hits very hard for a single hit, or do like I did and use a pickaxe charge attack.

To correct myself from last thread: transparungus works, but he will still wander and attack blindly, so don't stand in front of him, and expect to maybe take a belly flop.

So in essence: take a few spears, crushroom + stingshroom up, use transparungus or slowmungus and go to town on him. If you throw an uncooked crushroom/stingshroom, once he hits lower health he'll glow red, and go try and eat them. If he finishes, he'll flip out and crash into a wall, leaving a big opening to hit him.
