How the fuck do I climb out of silver guys. I know the meta. I know the maps. I know how to play certain heroes. I get good stats and medals. I try to be nice to my team. But it doesn't help. I swear everyone in this range must be fucking 12 or playing the game for the first time. It's fucking depressing. They all wanna play attackers and useless heroes. They never swap heroes. They leave. They run in alone and die. And no matter how hard I try in the placement matches I get ranked low again. I will never experience what it's like to play a good comp match. Really thinking about buying a new copy so I can get a decent rank and get the fuck out of this hell hole.

Alternatively, just requires a lot of game sense and gaming experience (especially if said experience is playing similar games). You can have crazy good mechanical skill that landed you in GM and still not know such balancing rules like better offence means defence needs to be weaker. You can also be an amazing support stuck in Plat because your performance is so reliant on your randomly chosen teammates.

Casters have great game sense and they can judge players playing on the highest level even though they're Gold shitters. Blizzard staff don't play this game on the highest level yet they're the ones making balancing decisions.

Winston hasn't been touched since the start of the game, and the massive amount of changes to all the other characters has significantly make him less and less viable.

And even most of the nerfs he got originally were because "muh double Winston meta" that was perform hero stacking was barred.

As his own tank, he is only even remotely viable on KOTH for contesting ability, but now with 76 buffs, dva buffs, reaper still being his hard counter, sym completely throwing the balance on its head in tank-centric meta, ana still being crazy good, he just isn't that useful.

Especially when shields generator being active and any character with armor is essentially immune to tickle gun, Sombras being able to lock down flanking heals / hacking to make Winston a free 20% ult boost, Winston needs his set polished up and buffed to compete.

Being the "genji and sniper hard counter" doesn't mean anything anymore when genji is being displaced by 76 and snipers are few and far between on teams

I think Sombra is not that bad after all, she's just a mislabeled Support hero.
She can take care of squishies and weakened enemies, and she can cripple strong enemies in critical situations.
Don't get me wrong, she really needs a buff, but she's not the absolute shit, unusable hero that this thread had me believe.

Point B favours defenders too much and there are no good flanks.

Even if you get past the choke you need to teamwipe the enemy with a combo or they'll be coming one by one with tanks and Mei.

Being just ahead or on the flanks of your team is best I find, then swoop in and disable and focus

Wrecked a few Symmetras too, if you have EMP up you can wipe her out (it drops her to 50% health essentially) or at the least take out the generator and sweep away her turrets, not to mention you can scout for he nest super fast invisible and teleport to save time / escape if you start getting microwaved

So I'm a nublet currently spamming QP and waiting for the right opprotunity to pounce and do my placements. Right now in QP I typically pair with goldies and today even paired with a plat. However I noticed that if I leave a game or two I immediatley get paired with striaght up bronzies. So I was just wondering if people have a decent grip on hidden QP MMR and how it impacts where you start your placements at. I figure right now its a good plan to wait until I start getting consistently paired with plat players and occasionally some diamond, then if I do reasonably well in placements I'll have a shot at diamond. Does that seem about correct? Near as I can tell currently if you level an acct to 30 and immediatley do placements, if you go perfect you'll likely get plat, if you do well but not perfect you'll get gold, if you do mediocre you'll get silver, and if you do mediocre but have been leaving QP games you'll get bronze.

Not great on his own but a good team player, the changes to how scrap is generated really helped him a lot; you make the whole team more resilient and sometimes you have a sort of emergency self heal by giving yourself the armor.

Also, it's not particularly efficient, but I find it fun when I manage to finish off someone with the hammer.

Placing sentries in new places and it working also feels great, I've actually killed people at the beggining of the match by putting 6 turrets somewhere I know they're gonna walk through and all but their healer will just pass through

I also find point and clicking boring as fuck, but to each their own I guess

All heroes should be good why the fuck does one have to be unplayable because you can't handle it? Playing as Symmetra you got extreme hate and was not allowed to play past first point. She needed to be changed. Because of how little people saw her. Nobody knew how to deal with her especially now she can survive a bit more. I was able to dominate even before the patch this just makes it more simpler. Of course I be happy if they just made her shield give back health depending on the amount of damage taken.
