What character setup(s) do you like using in Desert Island Escape?

I like running a Honey Hunter, Hearty Traveler, and either a Tunnel Digger or Swimmer. I'm really surprised by how often Honey Hunter comes into play in most maps, getting you tons of food and stretching out that 4 movement range with no real risk.

Team Straya basically invalidates 90% of characters for score attacking with even OK luck, but that's what also makes them frustrating.

As someone who has never hacked a 3ds, do you have any tips, suggestions, or references on installing a CCW. Literally the last thing I even installed homebrew onto was the Wii like five years ago, so I have no idea where to begin or what CCW is the best for this. Went back to HHD for a bit and maaaan. The next proper AC really needs to take after it. Editting homes inside and out is just so good. Having access to items/furniture without having to first dig them out of your closet or inventory is also the best.

it's actually super easy if you have a powersave and a OoT cartridge, no matter what firmware (afaik). Just install homebrew through OoThax and use the save manager

no, you'll need the hack save to boot homebrew (it will load normally but once it loads, press A and it will boot the homebrew)
but nothing really stops you from backing up your OoT save and swaping everytime you wanna play, it's just more work

The ACNL save editor is probably the easiest. Back up your save using whatever method (I use JKSM cuz cfw and whatnot) and then edit it in the web client. There's an option to "revive grass," which will look wonky for a day because it fills in absolutely everything, but the next day the grass will be back to normal; that is, dirt under benches and your fixed dirt puddles but refreshed to basically brand new.

It's nice for getting a map of your town, too actually. Used it to plan some flower rearranging.

3DS hacking is just about as idiot proof as possible now, especially on 9.2 to 10.7 firmware. If you can read plain english you can hack a 3DS.
