It is. It takes some doing, but my strategy was speeding up the column increase and just going ham, switching blocks left and right and using the special whenever i ran out of blocks to switch. It works decently well.

Just be careful for Isabelle, she's arguably tougher than the last boss.

Are there any rules about NPC house placement I'm missing? When I first started playing, villagers congregated along the bottom and right cliffs, with roughly the same population on either side of the river.

Now that I've been replacing villagers with cards, I've noticed that even after numerous resets, all of the new houses are placed on the right land mass. Unless flowers or trees influence home placement, I just can't understand why they're so reluctant to build on the left now.

If you start with a low decreasing pattern yesterday, and it shoots up to 135, you might have a big spike and it can reach above 600.

I worded that weird. It was more about how having a lot of ponds would make the town feel super cramped if you like having more PWPs. And also the whole annoying to build/plot routes around thing.

I've been using a few patterns to stop villagers from moving in front of my house and reserve space for that third bridge I just built, but they sometimes find a way to squeeze in by bulldozing a tree or murdering a snowman because I am not very thorough.

As for how they decide what areas to pick, there's no immediately discernible patterns aside from sometimes they like to congregate together.

I have beaten puzzle league twice now with no amiibo. I just do the same trick I used with any block puzzle game. I just zip the curser around and keep hitting A and shit just falls into place. Seriously I have gotten some amazing combos by doing the puzzle version of button mashing.
