I have to be more trophy before platinum, already beat DLC with main character, but I am wondering if it is faster to beat the game with a new character or continue through with NG+3? I remember how everything had massive health spikes in NG+ and that slowed me down a bit until I leveled up further

I use the reiter, loch shield, hunter's torch and burial blade, with 15% HP, 10% HP, +3 bullets on VAs. For BoM or Rakuyo you might use guidance instead of oedon's writhe.

I guess you could use poison knives and keep avoiding his attacks with the chikage that will also drain his life, and finish him off when he is low on life (possibly on the stairs to make it easier to dodge).

Dodges are invulnerable on the first frame in every Souls game, just total number of i-frames and recovery time changes.

BB has 11 i-frames IIRC, whereas DkS3 has like 16 or some stupid shit. Basic fast roll in DkS3 is better than ninja flip from DkS1.

I find DkS3 to be the second-easiest Souls game after DeS, but it clicks with my playstyle a lot. Same thing with Bloodborne. DkS2, on the other hand, fucks me up so hard. Crowd control and positioning don't matter because everything has tons of poise and huge hitboxes with perfect tracking. Roll timing is really all that matters, and everything in DkS2 has awkward delays meant to throw off your dodge timing.

That, and attacks in DkS2 have shittons more recovery than in every other game in the series, which is really hard to adjust to if you come to it from another game.

That and in my experience it seems give you more rare items too, but it varies way too much to reliably figure out the percentage changes

How do I get past the room at the very start of the research hall with the metric fuckload of brain patients quickly?

So I've been living under a rock until I was able to get Bloodborne, no spoilers aside from some weapon showcases so I didn't ruin my first playthrough with misappropriated stats, and I think I understand most of the story, which is great, but one part of the DLC is a bit ambiguous to me.
The Orphan of Kos, I'm unclear what exactly it is? "Nightmare Slain" appears, which would imply its a Great One, but that complicates other parts of the story. I thought Great Ones were only able to foster a child through a surrogate, like Iosefka? Why then do we see the Orphan crawl out of what we can assume to be Kos? How would Kos be the surrogate to its own child? When we kill the Orphan, we get the Kos Parasite, and combined with the Orphan itself being the only humanoid Great One we encounter, is it possible that the carcass of Kos was experimented on to try and create a Great One from a human? Or am I retarded?
Sorry if this is already discussed to death, if someone could fill me in I'd appreciate it.

Oddly I've read some lore theories and never seen that 'inconsistency' (Kos having a child when EVERY great one loses their child) discussed. People just seem to accept that it is Kos' child and that the hunters went in there to grab its third umbilical cord for their use.

But then why would the screaming baby man we fight just be called 'Orphan of Kos' and not something like 'Orphan's Foster'?

Things named as they are, are probably exactly just that, which does make Orphan to be a bit of a mystery. There has to be a reason to it, but like so much of Bloodborne, Miyazaki wanted to leave it ambiguous and weird, it can be frustrating when there's no answers sometimes. I usually don't mind it if it's justified by genre or setting rules or whatever, and I like it here because Miyazaki was going for a pretty specific thing I think. It just deepens the mystery around it all because it's all so fucking weird and spooky.

I think we did fight Orphan, just not all of it. When he kill the black smoke, we've ACTUALLY killed Orphan, all of it, body and soul. Back to the ocean or however these weird aliens work.

Someone talked about it a couple days ago and I think there is a way. To get fake iosefka you'd need to get to cathedral ward which only requires you to kill gas coin. Then from there just use a bold hunter's mark to warp back inside the clinic and pick up the summons and then kill the witch which should let you get to cainhurst without having to kill amelia.

Lost version would be better for Fire. 1 Cold Abyssal Radial from Pthumeru Elder, a 27.2% Fire Triangle from Isz Watchers, and a 24.8%+15 Fire Abyssal Waning from Loran Hotdog. Most weapons require 2 Cold Abyssals but LHB's high Arc scaling means it only needs one.

I don't want a Bloodborne 2. The first is good as it is and the story seems finished.

Second, R1 combo needs 3 weak hits before doubling the damage at every hit, and with the fast strikes and stunlock for human sized enemies it can reach one of the highest dps of the game.
