With that said, Noctis does outdamage gil by about 5-10% against single enemies (less in AoE), depending on how whaled out you are.

I think he's best used as a breaker and a tank/supporter secondary. He has all of the essentials for being a breaker, AoE DEF/SPR break on one of his hybrids, final attack has ATK/DEF break attached onto it, has HP/MP up innate, and a whole bunch of innates that boost his DEF/SPR and 20% evade on top of that.

He really doesn't strike me as a physical unit with his base kit.

But I can't fast travel with the car anymore, only have the option to have Ignis take me to continue the main story. Can I get to a point where I still have her and can use the car for fast trave? You get 35000 exp in cactuars no matter how badly you do.

There's also the family of metal cactuars for another 45000 exp, 6* Mats, Gil Turtles, and Star Quartz/Screamroot if you continually go Left_ at each path.

The coast is better. Most of the time you don't even find Gigantuars in the maze, you need a lot of luck to get as much xp as the coast.
Unless you need the 6* mats (which you don't because of all the grinding events) or the gil (which you don't) just run the coast again.

Just make them yourself. On Nox you can easily register everything you do in a run and repeat it on multiple windows.
Start from the end of the cutscene and register everything, including rolling for units. Just take into account the variations that could occur like crystals breaking into superior tiers.

You just need to keep leveling up, it'll come in time. JP is way better in that regard, I think you get 50 energy right from the start of the game, which is the equivalent of being rank 40.

At the start it might be worth it to pay 100 lapis for 60 energy in the shop when you need. Unless you do 5k pulls you'll always have a lot of lapis anyway. I usually bought that when I wanted to play a bit longer.
