I usally buy 70-100 keys at the beginning of the month and buy a really flashy hat for a class. Once I get bored of that hat I normally use it as overpay for another hat, so on and so forth until I am down to a nuts and bolts dread knot or something.
Then I either raffle it or sell it to geels bot and raffle off the shit I buy with the keys.

Then the cycle starts anew.

It might be a giant waste of time and money but hey, I'm having fun, I try to buy from people who are clearly not big traders so they get some profit and people enjoy raffles.

Hi. I posted this Sonic Heroes TF2 crossover fan list yesterday. I've improved it since then.

Scout, Heavy and Medic make up Team Sonic. Scout moves fast like Sonic. Heavy's great strength makes him a match for Knuckles. Much like Tails, Medic likes to support his friends.

"Awh, that freakin' egghead tricked us!" - Scout when he falls for one of Eggman's traps
"Keep hiding inside robot, coward!" - Heavy when he sees Eggman
"<maniacal laughter> The best medicine!" - Medic after killing many of Eggman's robots

Sniper, Spy and Engineer would make up Team Chaotix. If you underestimate either of these odd bunches, you'll end up on the floor before you can reconsider. Spy uses stealth tactics like Espio. Sniper is like Vector, he's mellow and reliable. Engineer is Charmy, people wave him away as useless, only to get stung.
"Blood, I can clean out of my suit, but this?" - Spy in swamp levels
"Take a picture of ya head Eggman! It'll last longer than the actual one." - Sniper at first boss fight
"I'm no expert, but this thing might fly!... Actually, I am an expert. It can fly." - Engineer at the flower in Frog Forest

Demoman, Soldier and Pyro would be Team Dark. They are all destructive classes, who inflict grievous damage on anyone who gets in their way. Soldier is like Shadow because he moves quickly, and can destroy enemies in the blink of an eye. Demoman is like E-123 Omega, he views his enemies as obstacles instead of actual people. He kills them without forethought or remorse, fueled by his consumption of alcohol. Pyro is like Rouge (NOT because he's a girl) because he's a specialist, who prefers to use other techniques than fighting people upfront.
"Soon as I blow that Eggman to pieces, I'm done with you two lassies." - Demoman to his teammates upon starting the first level
"Oh yeah! This airspace belongs to America!" - Soldier when him and his team fly through bonus rings
"Mmmph!" - Pyro

To use a Sniper rifle you'll need precision and leading. That skill grows in time. Try to use Soldier and Heavy to get ahold of that feeling. If you want to have something to practice; take a peek at the legs of your target to predict their movement before taking the shot. Also remember, panicing and strafing away before taking the shot causes bullet to slightly deviate away from your sights.

I can't even start the game anymore. I've tried removing everything from the custom folder, deleting the graphics script, removing launch options, reinstalling the game, completely clearing off any trace of the game on my hard drive and reinstalling again for the second time, and nothing works. It just crashes on start up even with a fresh, vanilla install.

Google doesn't help, anyone have any ideas?

Its just really boring for me, he can't do anything cool aside from jumping around and that one cleaver combo. Meanwhile pyro can detonator jump, annoy people with the scorchshot, surprise phlog, and put people to shame with the volcano fragment. And make "Pro" soldiers really sad.
Its more fun than just running around getting kills.

It's a small price to pay to get a huge benefit - playing a full match with the same team. And if your team is just bad, just take the lose or disconnect, next match is waiting. Autobalance only makes sense in servers where matches last for 20 minutes. Casual mnatches are short enough that they end if you're getting stomped.

Bit sad that modding has gone to shit too. Its amazing that we got hundred of shitty hats just because Valve might add those (Even though they reek of modders who don't know art styles). Wish they put that energy in to regular old mods, weapons, and maps.

New version with the new Halloween effects, grouped families, bigger pictures. Figuring this year's halloween unboxing rules are true going forward all ween effects older than 2014 can't be unboxed, so they're stuck in crazies only even if a few of them suck ass.

Most people don't do it because they like to anymore.
Most people that do stuff do it because they want money.
People like neo and void and shit can do whatever they want as they are going to get items in anyway, but most smaller people have either moved on or stick to doing gimicky hats to try to get them in.
In the end it doesn't really matter though as it seems like valve just goes through and picks the highest rated items a couple days before the update is due to drop and adds those.
Which inevitably end up being from the same handful of people that have 400+ followers and get 4k+ votes on most of their uploads.
If valve were to take a more hands on approach again I am sure modding would come back, but they are too busy with doter and Cs:go to do anything with tf2.
Hopefully with 2017 being the 10th anniversary of tf2 it will get better. But I doubt we will get to like 2012-2014 again.

I feel like they should just make a team of people that their job is to pick out maps and cosmetics from the workshop to add to the game.
Have an update every month at least thats just some hats and maps, with weapons being at least once a year.
A lot of people don't like a billion hats, but at least it would be something. A sign that they still care about the game in some sense.
I still do most of my shit for fun as well.
Working on a mad max type set for sniper right now. Mostly cause making items to try to get them in is a waste of time and I might as well make shit I like.

Tesla's the breakout star of this halloween, Neutron isn't noticable enough, and the stars are kind of ho-hum. If you were unboxing for hat effects Tesla was what you were after. If you want a good hat with tesla on it I advise you to get it while you can, especially if the creepy crawly crates only unbox ween 2016 on the hats that are in that crate. If that is the case tesla may be, outside of that brief window which has already past, limited to case hats like 2014 and 2015.

Eh maybe but honestly I've grown to hate all the hats in tf2. They've gotten way out of hand, seriously you can wear cats, a cardboard pirate hat/beard, and the medic has a hairy bare chest. Just, why?
It needs to be reigned in, its bad enough so many cosmetics and weapons skins make the game run worse but its worse that we have to deal with 800 people's art styles mashing together with a ton of random particles. I can't even remember the last time I saw a set of cosmetics that made me think 'Huh that looks cool' instead of 'Jesus christ thats a lot of particle' or 'Well that must've cost a lot, looks like ass though'.

Literally every hat in the game has at least one tesla coil effect. Not to mention the over 100 for each of the creepy crawly hats. I don't think anyone needs to rush for tesla coil. Its a pretty underwelming effect in person. Poor mans Time Warp really
