in 4.0 i used to do wz all the time on every advanced class there is. in 5.0 i did less than 10 matches. it felt more unbalanced than ever. my sin with full pvp set from 4.0 could barely scratch anyone and guarding a node is shit now, because sorcs have stolen my force walk. some heals (mercs? ops?) got boosted to the point where 4.0 look weak by comparison. not sure how stats work anymore, is defense still a dump stat?

As much as I wanted to, I couldn't even get into it. I made two characters, both of which I stopped playing at level 5. The entire system feels like a complicated clusterfuck and the combat just bored me. Not to mention problems with the company and their servers, it was all a turn off.

Neither Shadow nor Assassin fit the class story imo. Shadow may fit a little if you play the "don't give a damn about any silly ritual, just gonna kill all the infected" because that's what they'd do.

Knight is a protector. That's why playing a Guardian fits well with the story. It also kinda reflects on personal dynamics with Kira. Even if you're not playing as a tank.
I've chosen Mara instead of Jugg to not mirror Guardian. Wrath is suppose to be Emperor's executioner. It fits both advanced classes, to be honest, but Maras are the fucking black-and-red wearing edgelords who live to murder things.

Tracer Lock is a buff that stacks up to 5, they are consumed by using either Railing Shot or Rapid Scan, modifying them as such (at max stack):
+35% damage/+15% crit for Railing Shot

With Light 'Em Up you stack 2 per Tracer Missile instead of one.

Well, one could argue that Jar'Kai is something very few Jedi are able to master as well, but yes, it lacks defense-focused fighting.
I wouldn't rely on cutscenes, as it goes for pretty much every class: Trooper has a big gun/Operative has a Sniper/Blaster Rifle but always pulls out a pistol, Gunslingers only ever use one gun, and so on.

The Sith species is known for being unable to reproduce normally with other races. The alchemy might or might not have similar limitations. Besides, around that time their civilization was much more prejudiced against other species. Which isn't really that relevant, since they weren't even aware of many outsiders because of lack of hyperspace travel.

Doesn't work for most of characters desu. Going full LS is OK for Jedi. Full DS is OK for Sith. Other than that better to juggle a bit with both or get into shades of gray.

Every character has their own personality and I pick whatever suits them.
My Knight is very much into technology, so to him the idea of destroying those superweapons was dumb as hell. Salvage the technology and make something that can help people out of it instead.
My Consular has a particular type of Force Vision that sees pretty colors in people. But the pretty colors mean a lifetime of hardships and despair, so she always picks choices that could cause that the most. I'd think I'd only pick dark options, but there's quite a few light options that have the possibility to cause even more suffering.

What happened to guardians? They seem incredibly boring and more bland than usual. I am not a fan of the new animation for blade dance or whatever, plus it hits for less dmg than a basic slash. The two iconic skills for the jedi are now worthless on bosses, and the rotation feels a little wonky

Going full DS isn't necessarily good for Sith either. Off the top of my head, during the trials for the SW on Korriban, one of the "best" decisions in the interrogations gave Light side points, and was praised by your overseer.

My issue playing any form of Assassin but especially Madness or Deception pre 4.0 was no one wanted a Sin on their groups for heroics or flashpoints. I think part of it was because I wasn't good and SWTOR is only the second MMORPG I played after Ragnarok Online but jesus fuck I had no idea what I was doing but even after coming back a year or two later and making 2 Sorcs and a Sniper, I just sucked.

Sins early in the game felt like they were really meant for PvP and not PvE, given their a Rogue expy. And the game punished you for that if you played as one.
