As an 870 Ret Paladin, do I stand ANY shot of getting into a not fucking garbage raiding guild at this point?

I have a few logs (My guild likes to fuck around a lot during Heroic) where I do 95th percentile+ for my ilvl and mid 70s for all Ret Paladin, and the only lego I have is Sephuz.

I've pretty much playing solo except for Heroic EN every other week (Since my friend lets me come to his guild's alt night, but they have 3 ret paladins on Mythic Core already)

The "content" in this game is always this: running through big rooms filled with either mobs or big bosses. Only thing what changes is the thematical appearance and mechanics of the boss' attacks.

I'm amazed they have done even this many variations of the same theme.

In other words the gameplay in WoW is too simple and straightforward. The game should have been a one hit success story, bit like Angry Birds and I thought that after couple of years WoW would have been dead.

IT's a miracle the game still has even this many subscibers.

Shit ironforge is pretty cool aswell, they took out alot of levels from it and the undercity in development i heard because originally they were to big.
I don't usually play alliance but the ironfroge theme is literally is aces.

Yeah that's just Blizzard's fault. The fact they need to reinvent the wheel in every expansion is really hurting the game. Instead of concentrating on creating open world elements and more dynamic campaigns they create theme park systems which make old content obsolete as hell. Don't get me wrong I love the game but it is bit strange choice. I don't mean we should be forced to level up from 1 to 100 in six months but there could be a better way to retain the world accessible and still relevant. And there should also be a better way for them to do the classes. When they need to constantly do adjustments to the class balance means they don't really know what they are doing in that sense.

some specs need some more complication, honestly I feel every spec has 1 tier of talents that could all be baseline, but the fact that every fight ring now other than guarm has multiple targets helps a lot with rather dry patchwerk rotations for some specs

also mobility creep on every ranged spec was actually a real issue, it's insane that fights like lei shen, sha of fear, blade lord, paragons, and siegecrafter still required and people could actually pull off decent dps

I'm not even a casual. There's just something about legions grind that is infinitely more draining than any other expansion or game I've ever played.

I've grinded in plenty of games to be in the top ranks in the world before. It's not the amount of time that I need to invest but the content you need to do that's the problem.

It's all so fucking boring and mandatory if you want to progress properly. I did the withered bullshit on my warrior and did all the suramar quests on him too but lost interest in the class. Having to do it all again on another character is fucking brutal especially given the fact that shadow priests and gutted pieces of shit until they get really geared.

I remember the exact moment I quit a month or so back. I was doing the withered training on my priest as holy since shadow did less damage and would die too easily. I got really far in the withered shit and decided to die so I could cash in my reward and go do some other bullshit. I got to die and spirit redemption procs. So instead of getting sent back to the reward area to collect my rep, I just die get sent to a graveyard and lose everything I just spent 40 minutes getting.

Holy shit this expansion is so fucking bad it's actually kind of impressive.

nightbane is decently scary after they changed his dot to deal damage to the person it's on and not the tank (yeah idk how that even happened but it was the case for like 2 months)

the first half is a lot like the old one (except attumen who now gets easier when you kill him before his horse), then the top is just silly

uhh curator is actually a decently scary boss, the last boss is also fuck-uppable, but not really that hard

the other bosses are kind of fun, but really not all that hard, you can wipe on them though, most of them have basic: you know how to handle it or don't mechanics and if you don't or just fuck up, you die or your whole group dies

also the first boss changes weekly so it can be more forgiving some weeks, like wicked is pretty unforgiving for fucking up

also the special effect items and the flame wreath trinket are pretty fun, I love my aoe thorns damage trinket and the cape on maiden is basically a minimum of +2% healing done

other than that, it's basically an hour long dungeon with a good geared group (2-3 hour basically BRD 2.0 with wipes and worse dps), we still occasionally wipe on a boss in our 2 weekly runs but we're 7/

Cool, I've done up to +4 with no problem assuming a competent group but I did a +7 once with skittish and had some major trouble with it. I assume I just need more practice with the affixes. I've had no problem with EN Normal recently and I really want to clear heroic before Nighthold drops. Thanks :)
