For me, midrange plays out just like aggro variant, but trades the consistency for better late game. I've been using just that because aggro is not well-situated when everywhere you got elves running around.

Anyway, regardless of my feelings about aggro, 4pp deal 3 is not a good deal. If we look at other cards in the game, specifically razor claw and temptress, then we can garner that 1 damage to anything is worth about 1pp, if not a little less. To pay 4 for 3 is not good. The only reason anyone runs Demonic Strike is because aggro wants as much burn as possible and they gotta make do with what's available, even if it's kinda shitty.

It really is. Because no other deck in their right mind would even think to touch Demonic Strike. The card sees 0 play outside of aggro and has seen 0 play outside of aggro for as long as the game has been out.
Seriously, Demonic Strike is overcosted and not very good. You're not getting a good enough effect for what you pay for. Shadowverse just lacks good burn all around so aggro decks are forced to run it because hey, reach is reach, overcosted as it may be.
