When you play with a minion, you have to choose over and over what to attack with it, and God forbid if you have to decide whether to attack at all or not. With Haven, every card you play does nothing until turns later. It's less than half the work of Sword.

Sword does nothing but play fundamentals and curve out which makes them pretty simple.

Thing is that Haven gets to ignore fundamentals. If you play Sword you don't have to deal with any extra mechanics but you still have to learn Shadowverse, if you play Haven the timers let you ignore learning certain aspects of the game since they condense your game so that you don't have to worry about protecting your shit or optimizing your damage over turns. You get a lot of tools tied to body that makes it so you don't have to make as many decisions on how to use resources.

I had a playset of animated Glows early on but I vialed them all. I really regret burning so many animated cards now after playing a few months because I didn't expect decks to be so fucking easy to build in the long run. The meta is fast compared to Hearthstone but generally slower than every other card game. Games usually "soft cap" on turn 8 here, but DShift's the only deck that puts a real uninteractive timer on you. I've gone to turn 20 against PtP and Seraph before playing traditional control decks, but you do need the appropriate tools. Mostly Odin.

If you're just worried about ladder then playing slow decks is actually a pretty valid strategy, you'll lose against DShift most of the time but I did a lot of my climbing by preying on aggro and midrange.

Most aggro decks have to plan around low removal and shit like Angelic Barrage, in aggro vs aggro they need to access their position in the match up by turn and trade negative against shit like Ancient Elf to optimize damage and have a reach plan for when the game drags on. Storm Haven doesn't have any more complicated ordering or decision making than Banner Sword or Lolibats, but it dodges a significant amount of removal at all ranges because the amulets pop into damage, give you larger bodies per resource, and in the case of Aria, spreads you out. It's allowed to trade positive in virtually every situation and your reach plan advances your board state and doesn't compete with anything for resources.

Storm just simply has less decisions to make than Banner and Bats. In a winning game, all three decks only require that you curve out and swing face, but in a losing game Storm has the largest margin of error by far and has the simplest damage optimization game. The "timer" thing doesn't complicate their game in any regard, it simplifies it.

Similarly, Seraph and Seraph-Elana are the simplest decks in their range. DShift and PtP both have to make some calculations and plan out their removal, but Seraph has access to incidental advantage that doesn't require commitments and the most straight forward removal tools.

That said I do think Pure Elana is a deck that requires some finesse. A lot of people kill themselves with dead turns on it and it has to pilot into different win cons.
