He talks about returning for the same reason lucifer does. What yhvh is trying to mock you about is stating that the nature of what specific idea he is means that humans will always turn to his particular idea, giving him power over other demons most likely. He says mankind since he is literally implying it being a global phenomenon. But he also says "as long as." Meaning that there is also potential for him not to come back.

And gods who only a few people worship wouldn't necessarily get a full respawn either. If they get trashed they may have to start again from a lower place. There's a reason that the same demons can be stronger or weaker in different worlds.

4A fixes a lot. It doesn't get close to Etrian level good but 4A is an ACTUAL game

In DeSu, levels trump stats. But levels + stats are how you get to OHK territory. The build everyone recommends is magic nuke, spam holy dance.

Phys gets pierce. It's not totally useless. But for all of the game you'll have Atsuro who is specced for Phys only one set of decent Phys skills. Whereas you have magic skills out the ass.

The only two builds are STR or MAG.

Also turn speed on the map is determined not by stats but by how much you did last turn. If you move+attack the monster you hit can usually attack twice before you get to go again.

Don't ignore racial skills of your demons. They almost always have strong map level strategic options.

First you VASTLY overestimate the average RPG market's ability to swallow mediocre to garbage gameplay. There are incredibly few RPGs that are even slightly mechanically interesting. If you expand it to WRPGs where nobody cares about mechanics just muh choice it's even uglier a market.

Second SMT4 never gets better. After Medusa, nothing is a challenge except when it crits, smirks, and one shots you.

If you need any more DeSu OC tips:

Levels scale harder than stats. A 30 STR demon at level 10 will not hit harder than a 3 STR demon at level 20. Fuse for better levels whenever it looks like a good move. This is unusual for SMT and most RPGs, that level is its own stat/scale.

Devils Fuge scales only on level. This will make sense later. Don't feel you need to pump any specific stat to boost the Fuge.

Don't buy bargain monsters. Their stat penalties go into your fusion genetics. You can't have that.

Cash can only be spent at the auction house. There is no other real way to boost your power other than fusing all day so keep hitting up the auctions.

I guess there's skill cracks so don't miss those if you can avoid it.

I'm playing SMT Strange Journey for the first time and loving it. I haven't played any other SMT game except for the first one for SFC and I eventually lost interest because of all the GRINDING and samey looking mazes. Anyways I'm at Sector G currently. I have a couple of questions:

Is it actually worth using Mitamas to bring a lower ranked demon up to speed? I tried to use Black Frost (made it to level 42) but he was leveling up way too slowly so eventually I just dropped him.
