For a "protip," there is an awful lot of hearthpwn decklists that disagree with it.
Thinking on it, is there even an ideal list for reno mage? You pretty much just put one of anything that might be useful for stalling, burning, and generating spells, right? Most of the lists use ragnaros, but if you're running ink master, arcane giant is just that same "cast a spell and maintain initiative" concept with a better body, so you could put that in ragafucker's place.

I can craft one legendary, maybe two if I dust a bunch of crap. I've got stuff like Ragnaros, Grommash, Thalnos, Malygos, Cairne, only opened up Noggenfogger and Raza the chained.

there's simply nothing like halving your resilient opponent's HP and putting a big body on the board. Against renolock, you force Reno which eventually takes them to jaraxxus and fatigue. A priest running out of removal simply can't deal

Against aggro or midrange it's your way to turn the tide while they're threatening your iceblock

As always there's room for experimenting, a version with more big bodies like Ragnaros and Medivh could provide enough pressure

renolock will eventually be back once more expansions build up, i'm 100% certain that they're going to be putting reno in an evergreen set. maybe not the rest of the explorers, but definitely reno.
jaraxxus will probably always see some use in reno decks - i remember that time he was considered bad because he's kind of slow if you play him without getting an emperor proc on him to use your hero power right away, but that seems to have gone away now.

I don't have any current decklists with the combo as I run Jaraxxus these days, but it shouldn't be much different. There are so many good versions that your hands are pretty free. Just faceless, leeroy and PO for the combo, make sure to get thaurissan on at least one of the pieces. I'm guessing Ragnaros would be another important addition as your late game attrition is weakened

Problem is if you have to use your combo pieces (leeroy and shadowflame or sylvanas + PO), the deck is very weakened. In the past you almost had to Brann + peddler for extra PO, but I'm not sure how viable that is when the kazakus combo is so important these days
