blast radius is a tiny 3m. That's 3/5ths of Reinhardt's hammer. her projectiles travel at 26.5 m/s, and it takes .5-.6 seconds to move out of the blast radius of the rocket. Or put it another way, Pharah cannot reliably hit people even with the explosion radius beyond 14m unless they're moving in predictable paths/straight lines or are standing still.

If Pharah hits every rocket directly she does a whopping 84.7 dps or something like that and best case scenario of maximum splash damage she does 64 dps.

I don't know who Shadder2k is, but there are many things skilled people do that is quite possible with lots of dedicated practice.

Was he hitting targets that were moving in a predictable path of some kind? You can spot who is the aimbotter and who is for real when they track a head as it plummets off a cliff but will actually lose tracking on a lucio speed boosted sprinting soldier running random zig-zags. The former will look identical in both situations, the latter will do great on one and miss quite a bit on the other.

How the fuck does placement work in this anyway? I won 7/10 of my matches, carrying the team myself on most of them, lost 2 and had 1 draw. I get set in 1800s and silver. Why?

In my first placement match I played with and against the worst players I have ever encountered. Never had such bad players in QP. Then teams got better and better and my last placement match was easily diamond level. I didn't play in season 2 so it probably ranked me at 0 or something for my first placement game. Armor is OP as fuck. Zarya used to melt D.va easily at full charge but now it takes ages, supposing you actually get to full charge. They still haven't fixed nanoboost making armor invincible, and roadhog can't kill Dva 1 on 1 at close range in any way.
